9krpmrx8's Boost Build Thread
5/8/2012 -- the world began.
congrats man---and no broken bolts
check out my post on the pettit thread --post 9692---shows a little of how a boosted 8 on track does. I wasnt driving 10/10 at all--sometimes shifting only at 6.5 K, i was in 4-5-6th gear ( and a taller final gear ratio) when the others where a gear lower with a shorter final gear ratio. So they were at 9K when I was at 6K for example.
My cooling was great and it was 94F ambient--
Yours will do the same --maybe even better?

Thanks guys, I need to get some brass reducers to replace the plastic ones sold at autozone for the turbo coolant lines because I don't trust them but other than that I am good to go.

Anyone know where I can get an oil pressure gauge with just an NPT fitting on it? I installed a "T" on the feed line to my turbo so that I can permanently fit an oil pressure gauge there to see what kind of pressure the turbo is seeing.
Something like this? It says it's 300psi but doesn't it look like 5,000?

Yeah it's never ending
I still need to install a few things and I want to get a bigger second oil cooler and replace the fender liners and some other things now that everything is fitted. I am using the secondary rad to cool the turbo so hopefully this turbo will last a bit longer than most.

Drove to Shell, filled her up with a full tank of 93 and went for a spin
I feel so much better, she ran better than ever even though I didn't go over 5k or so. AFR's looked great, a bit on the rich side but that is safe. I did a couple of data logs so here we go
Also, I may have set the coil overs a bit too low
Pics incoming.
Thanks again to all of those that helped

Good luck with all the finishing bits
