Im a total idiot !!! So when i originally switched them. I put the fronts on the rears (same sides, didnt switch). And i put the rears on the fronts but switched. So i just switched the fronts left and right. The threads on the fronts were total opposite of the rears so i switched them and now theyre all the same. I guess you have to keep these tires the same sides and can only switch from front to rear.

So at the end of the day, i switched fronts to rears and rears to front without switching sides. No wonder the ride felt funny/.

hey guys. i'm having some transmission problems and i haven't been able to find anything concrete so i was wondering what some of you might think it can be.

its an 04 gt with about 55k on the clock. besides regular maintenance all i've had done is a delete pipe and eibach springs as of now.

anyways, i was on the high way driving in 6th gear. i downshifted to 4th to pass someone then shifted back to 5th. when i went to shift into 6th...nothing. it simply wouldn't go in.

i am able to go from 3rd to 6th and 4th to 6th though. and it can be forced into 6th from 5th. same problem occurs with my 8 off and cold.

any ideas?

edit: idk if this is in the wrong thread, but i felt like it was a dumb question to ask for some reason.

/\ pay attention to what you are doing next time and it might become more obvious what you are doing . You should be pushing to the right as you pull the lever down .

brettus - i do push right as i pull down. it still has to either a) be forced in or b) won't go in at all. i have an apt with the dealership for the clutch bracket tsb on friday, i'll probably inquire about this problem.

It may be just me, but it seems like I don't get the beep and warning light at redline any more. I can't remember the last time it did beep. This ever happen to anyone else?

are you playing music too loud? Are you maybe shifting too early? Maybe you're just used to it and it no longer registers lol

Nice,
I would also add the the rpm gauge can be off quite a bit and while the tach may read 9k ... the ECU has not electronically reached the beep point yet.

Ask any Cobb AP owner when they are trying to do logging at certain RPM's.
The dash tach always seems to be a good 200-400 rpms (yes 400) ahead of the Cobb AP rpm reading.

Just say'n

I turn music off, I'd much rather hear the sound of the Renesis screaming at redline :D

I've even started closing the windows, I thought maybe wind noise was covering up the beep. Is it really that quiet? I'm guessing the tach is off, I get past 9k rpm and I get scared Im going to break something haha.

Lets just assume for a minute that the warning isn't working though. Is it bad to run the engine up to fuel cut off?

Never heard mine - I know it is there because I have heard it on logs I've done but my one just isn't loud enough to hear over the engine .

I have a pretty serious question that I cant really find a good answer to. I have a ticking noise coming from my engine and its starting to concern me. I have read the SSV threads and found no real solid answer. I also have tried other suggestions like feeling around to see where the ticking is coming from. From what I felt, it feels like its coming from the top of the intake tube which is just left of where you put oil into the engine.

Here is my question... Since the ticking problem seems to be common, should I be concerned? If the engine is running fine, does that mean I dont have a problem? If I let it go for a while, will I have problems down the road? Could this cause any major problems? And last question, should I go to my nearest dealership ASAP or do I have time to contact a local member to help me diagnose?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I think its difficult to "break" the engine unless you redline a perfect running rotary for like 10-15+ minutes.. Even a rotary engine with a bad apex seal can go on and on at redline.. look it up on youtube, so sad. I'll post a video of it on here later when i get home to if you want

First place I would look is the ignition leads . If they are stock throw them out and get some good aftermarket ones on there .

Ok here is another one....

Cobb Acessport, from what I've read it allows you to increase your omp flow rate. Is this something I could adjust own my own (if I owned one) or would it be required to have MM set it higher (buy his tune)?
I'm not liking the low oil consumption I'm seeing and reading about. I'm use to the FCs burning 1qt per 1kmiles or more. I've put about 1kmiles since my last oil change and the level has dropped, but not even enough to add more oil yet. It's just low enough to see it is actually using oil.

You can adjust this with ATR IIRC. Might take a little reading to figure out but should be easy enough.

Ok, here's my dumb question:

I'm taking my '06 to the dealer on Monday to get the DLR module replaced (used car warranty), and I just KNOW they will move the car and shut it off while still cold since they are not used to rotaries and wouldn't know better, even if I explain. Will this flood/damage the engine and is there anything I can do when I pick up the car to minimize the negative effects?

Contact darkbrew he can help you fix ur DLR yourself if u r inclined.

Otherwise I wouldn't worry about the flood issue its not as bad or frequent as people make out
