Hi Jeff,

I noticed that you added a little bit more info to first post based on your last message. I'm curious about the following:

Further customization can be realized by way of increased engine redline, altered S-DAIS operation and a variety of "novelty" calibrations such as "valet" mode, "anti-theft" mode and other such single-purpose adjustments.
I've gotten a good 20+ cold engine cycles (as read through sCANalyser) since landing on the base map... STFT was never an issue for me.

I believe I'm one of the first 4AT customers and such would like to get the valet and anti-theft maps. Cobb said I should try to go through you before taking it up with them.

I'm also ready to start experimenting with leaner AFR mixtures, or whatever combination of changes will improve fuel economy. I'm not expecting miracles, but I'd like to see and feel how my 8 responds to an economy map that can get me a couple extra mpg.

Please let me know the best way to proceed. Should I basically repeat this in an email to ap@? I can also easily produce AFR, MAF, RPM, and load data if that is helpful -- Just say the word. I believe you have all my vitals on file at this point considering our activities early on regarding the U0100 CEL.

Also, how close do you get to the Philadelphia area with your travelling tune show? :D

Thanks,
Shell

My calibrations aren't for trade.
They are only meant for the AccessPORT purchaser for whom they were intended.

I have a question about the initial email thing... It says to use the purchaser's email... Is that the email that will always be associated with that AP (for the purpose of receiving updated maps)? I wasnt the one who ordered or payed for it, but it is being shipped to me and ownership will be under my name. (https://www.rx8club.com/rx-8-brotherhood-dragon-110/raffle-4-winner-announced-149089/ this explains it better). I sent an email and you said I would receive that email but still curious because I would prefer it to be under my email if possible, but if not, oh well.

Cant wait till it gets here.... I expect no less than double the horsepower and gas mileage. I'm guessing since this isnt one of the products associated with BHR (CRH) I wont be receiving a free set of BHR pajamas, will I? I guess I can live with out those

Hey Jeff. I'm still waiting on my updated map. Any news or feedback on when I can expect that? You should have 3 or 4 emails in your inbox from me. Let me know if you need anything and when you'll send me a new map back.

I've sent you several copies of your "1c_0".
Which is the last you are using (date)?

Needing a tune desperately for the Cobb

I live in Valdosta, Ga. We have several tuning shops in the state of Georgia. Unfortunately there are not a lot of people who are going forced induction here. Therefore the tuning shops here, e.g. TopSpeed, Battleground, and any other tuning shops in the SE region do not have enough participation in the Cobb/FI area to purchase the 3-4 grand software needed to tune the CAPort with FI on the RX8. I currently have the Greddy turbo kit installed in my 04 rx8, I purchased the cobb accessport prior to FI for the stage 1 setup, I was unsure about going FI, but I later decided to, after I did all the bolt-on mods. I am in desperate need of a Tune for the Cobb/RX8, Jeff. I had an appointment with TOPSPEED that I made shortly after installing the Turbo, the person I spoke to obviously wasn't aware that the tuners did not have suffient software to tune my vehicle. The only way I found this out, was by calling them today with a question reguarding Cell P0661. I already knew what it was, but was making sure that the block off plate would need to be uninstalled prior to tuning with the CAP and that's when i found out that they could not do the tune. Please help me, I'm willing to pay for the tune by you Jeff. My only other options are to drive super far for a tune, and I'm not the long distance driver. Thanks for you time.

Well, the software is only $1500.
Its knowing how to get a result that tends to be the expensive part.

Look for an announcement on my AccessPORT purchase page this week.

Elysium - You didn't send your current calibration.
V1.0 - Who are you? I don't see anyone that answered the questionnaire with the screen name "V1.0".

Well, I said it was 2a, within the set of calibrations that you sent initially...
I'm currently using MM_2004_MT_NA_v1c_2a

Let me know if I should re-send the dyno data...

No, I got the dyno data.
Read the form about what I need.

Here is a copy of what it contains:

1) Real Name
2) Forum Name (if you are on the RX-8 Forum)
3) E-mail address you used to purchase your AccessPORT
4) Year of manufacture of your RX-8
5) Model (M/T, A/T)
6) Location (specifically, if you are in California or have a California model)
7) Induction (normally aspirated, turbo, supercharger)
8) Fuel injectors (if different from stock)
9) MAF/intake setup (custom, MazSport, OE, GReddy, etc.)

Also attach a copy of the calibration you are currently running and
GRAPHICAL datalog of your WOT operation in a couple of sequential gears with
AFR, RPM and MAF or load shown.
A screen shot of your logging software or an Excel graph is best.
Please list any concerns or issues you have noted.
I have over a thousand different variations of my calibration set, based on model, mods, geography, firmware, serial #, etc.
They all have similar names and it takes forever if I have to research who you are, what you've got and where its going.

Once you have found the correct trim, send that calibration with what you need done to it and I'll get it back to you as fast as I possibly can.

My apologies, people had copied to the forums the list of 9 pieces of information you wanted to make changes, but left out the part about sending a copy of the file itself.

I just emailed you the calibration, sorry for the omission. And unfortunately I don't have any graphical datalogs other than the dyno sheets....

New info added to the first post.
Custom calibrations are now available to those that have purchased their AccessPORT from someone other than me.

I've also changed the support policy.
I can provide up to five customization requests for new purchases.
Those that have already purchased their AccessPORT are "grandfathered" in and the clock is reset.
I will continue to provide troubleshooting and answers at no additional charge.
I will send out an e-mail to all MazdaManiac customers reflecting this change.

Once again Jeff your doing a stellar job with the masses.
Can I get a new map that dumps excess fuel above 6000 rpm so I can have huge flamage out the tail pipes.

Burn baby burn,,, Mazda inferno, burn baby burn.

Sounds good MM, should help you prevent excessive overflow of requests. Is the five request policy the same for those that are second-hand owners? Also, I didn't see this mentioned and it shouldn't be an issue for a while but, if a user uses up his/her 5 requests, is the next step to pay the $299 for 5 more?

We've been discussing for a long time too Paul. One must remember I have n AT. But as it is now it blows biguns out above 6K at my command. I just need to get somebody behind me with a video camera.

i gotta work on my throttle control or something. i've got jeff's AP map but havent had him lean it out any extra, which i could stand to do, i'm just not that worried about it... i have a hollow OEM cat and the MS catback. i can make it pop anytime i want, but flames are only present when its still rich during warmup, and i realy dont like hitting the throttle then..
