You want to see 13.7:1 or so across the board.
Going with your upgrade kit soon. I have a ping aroung 6800-7k rpms. It goes away almost instantly. Sound like the MIB. No loss of power. Has done it since I bought it with 3k on it. Any idea what I should do about it before going with your kit?

Jeeeeeeeeeeeeff! Ever since I installed the new flash, it's been raining. I think something is wrong. If it doesn't stop raining soon, I'm going to uninstall the flash and go back to stock. I can't take all this rain.

LOL.

Tuning makes rain, didn't you know that?

This is why I moved to the desert.

i keep getting random misfires in multiple cylinders and misfire in cylinder 1. i've got brand new coils, plugs, and wires. it's not a permanent fault since the check engine light just flashes. car still runs perfectly smooth, no misfires felt! just a glitch??

Idle graph measuring fuel trims and A/F

Image 1 shows Idle

Image 2 shows the whole range from 4554 to 8821 Was unable to pick up top end in chart too much data. See image 3 for that.

Very hard to show all the data, so I picked the high end.

Image 3 shows Various load full throttle
MAF 229 to 233
A/F 11.1 to 12
RPM 8849 to 9248

Image 4 shows Even load 82.7
MAF 103 to 230
A/F
RPM 4150 to 8946

The PCM is overly sensitive to the eccentric shaft position sensor.
You will get misfires when there are none and no flashes when there are, in fact, misfires.

I SeaFoamed my motor last night and it makes your motor misfire like a b*tch for several minutes after you start it up.
No CEL.

For what it is worth, upgrading my coils totally eliminated any random misfires I had up top.

what kind of coils, plugs, and wires you recommend? only plugs i found are the NGK (which i have) and the Denso ones.

car runs great, the check engine light just bothers me.

oh! and does your little write up on the TPM light actually work??

Just waiting on an update from Cobb for the DTC masking.
When that comes, I'll give you new calibrations with the CEL turned off for dumb stuff like that.

...for those looking for a way to mount the dongle and AP itself. All you need is 4 zipties and a rubber band. I used one of the thick fabric covered ones for hair. You can easily remove the OBD connector from that bracket without using any tools. The two zipties on the dongle are looped together like two rings so they won't slip off.

I feel mine are quite rich and this series is not right for my car. I was hoping that I could get a leaner series of calibrations as soon as you're able. it's been really difficult for me to drive all week , and having it bog down on me when i try to get anywhere quick. runs nice and smooth under very light load though

Maybe we should split this thread into NA and FI. It seems that allot of post are not related to one another. It's confusing when some say to lean and then some say to rich....

I’m on verge of purchasing the access port. The problem I am having is that I have no idea what most of you are talking about. With my current mods is it worth me getting this product? I’ve read a few posts that says the cobb maps don’t account for mods.

Here's a differant run where you can see the actual fluctuation in throttle position.

Absolute Throttle is 78.4 and only changed a couple of times.

Although the chart is not soley based upon the throttle of 78.4

Here is what we see using that number as a constant:

RPM 2973 to 9234
Load 73.7 to 86.7
MAF 66.93 to 232.4

All data including previous charts was with 527lbs of passenger weight.

That would be really great.

There are significant differences in the way either is handles.

I know it isnt that simple but there's just no way I can run the current batch of flashes.
I just sent you the same series that I sent to r0tor. I'll send them again.

No, I got it.
I'm working on understanding what is going on in your setup to produce that kind of over-reading on the MAF.

Is that calculated load sharing the left scale?

BTW -
Please continue to send your customization requirements to ap@mazdamaniac (.com) so that I can address them without having to search through a surplus of unrelated information to get you what you need.

^also, is there any way we could get a description for dummies? I know what the end result is with this, but when (in the future) I do get this, I would want to know what everything means. I have no clue what all these acronyms that you guys are using mean. Any translations would be great... thanks...

[QUOTE]

my car seems to have the same symptoms SQL had at the beginning when he posted this: http://youtube.com/watch?v=HFovWJhUBkA

but then when he used the same MAF housing as me, his car worked a little better so I thought I could stick to my MAF housing. but he recirc'd his BOV, and his car worked even better, but then you never did, and I have the same one as you, the HKS SSQV so I thought I could get away with not recirculating mine. I guess I'll order that recirc. fitting now and eventually do that, and in the meantime hope the understanding comes to you or anybody soon. if you have the time to set me up with an intake, please let me know. thanks
