Last night I tried the Cobb Stage I Flash.

In the 6000+ range it has me at 14-15.5 AFR is that ok?

It does feel stronger in the high rpms but that doesn't sound like a safe range.

you don't need to recirculate, but you cannot use the synchronic bov unless it's recirculating because of the vacuum leak. The other standard bov's do not stay open outside of boost, so they will be fine - but you might get some exhaust popping from an overly rich situation during shifting.

datalogging... I'm waiting till the AP laptop software comes out. No sense in buying another tool when the accessport will do it.

what about the old style mazsport greddy intake? does that cause issues with the AP?

yeah, you'll want to get a new intake. All the old turbo intakes didn't care what the MAF thought because in boost it was MAP based.

With the current map I'm running I'm at 11.1-11.9 Afr at WOT. Would it be ok to run this map until mm gets back to me or should i upload what was working before until then?

Jeff I had sent you an email regarding getting the other maps besides stage 1. I am running 1_4b and it seems to be running flawlessly. WOT I'm going no lower than 12.75's and cruising stays between 14's - 15.75's & 20.4 when I let off the throttle. When I went to the 1_4b from 1_0 I STFT was bouncing 0 to +2 so that seemed right, and LTFT was reading 10. Correct me if I'm wrong on any of this, but am I ready for the next stage in maps?

Also, do we have to ask specifically for the maps you have that help w/ MPG?

Yes, those are factory setting #'s. What map are you on? When I dataloggged the factory flash I was seeing 11.5 at WOT. Your running rich but no need to change.

In stock setup before I got my AP, it was running 14.75-15.2 up to 4000 rpms and 13.3-13.8 to 6000 then it dropped to 11.2 @ 6000+.

How come if it was ok at 15 up to 4000 stock it is a problem to be at 15 from 6000+? Just curious on how it works and why there is a difference.

Why would the Cobb stage 1 give me such a lean high rpm? Do you think the Mazsport ignition has a hand in that? The only other mods I have are K&N replacement filter and cat-back.

My AFR is currently hitting 13.8 @ 6,000rpm.

Each time Jeff sends me a new map I have to check to see if his changes made a difference so I have been in the high 13's @ 6,000rpm like 20x already.

i was talking about NA use.

I wouldn't want to hit 13 with FI.

Hitting 13 doesn't mean you are sustaining damage though. It's just not a good place to be.

I hope so. I had detonation twice with 91 octane but everything seems ok. I have been using 94 octane ever since.

We are getting close to having it solved. I want to hit the drag strip this weekend. I am curious to see my trap speeds.

That sounds dangerous.

I wouldn't want higher than 12.8 in Turbo application.

I'm NA so is the 15 afr @ 6000+ ok for NA?

I would guess about the same as Charles, 104-106 mph. With a really good run 13.1-13.3

Is that WOT or cruising? Cause it's crap for one, and OK for the other.

I don't have the MM turbo upgrade yet. I am gonna wait till my turbo dies on me.

There is no real point to take my car drag racing. I am just curious how fast it is with the current mods. Then I will be able to compare once I get the turbo upgrade.

Its WOT.

My car pulls really hard from 4000-6000 which it runs at 13.8, so do you think it should be at 13.8 from 6000 and above?

I spoke to a friend who has been into building race cars for along time now, and he says 15 is ok but it is probably the max you would want to be at in NA. He hasn't ever worked on a rotary though, so I didn't know if there was a difference in the tolerances from a piston engine.
