Has anyone found if there is a limit to the amount of logs or time period for logging on the accessport?
I just took a log during idle and despite having 4 or 5 logs on the AP it didn't show up when I went to download it.

I was wondering that as well... how much memory does the thing even have? Is it partitioned or does it all share memory? That is to say, does it designate a certain amount of memory to maps and to logs or can you just log as much space as possible?

I am buying mine tomorrow from a local dealer. He is a bit expensive but I am gonna have alot of maps and local support available. On most maps he has +30% omp output and 4 degrees celsius lower fans operation. Is the +30% omp going to clog the cat? What are you using in your calibrations? He has also, on 3 maps, altered the redline from 7800rpm to 8100rmp, 8500rpm and 9000rpm.
I am going to use the 8100rpm stage1 map. Aren't the other maps to stressfull for the engine?
He is using very canservative settings and the only gain is around 10hp on the wheels, because I have a stock car. I have the low power manual tranmision 2006 rx8 vesrsion.

You probably won't gain 10 HP on a stock car with "conservative" settings.

I don't know if it is +30% in all ranges, I'll have to ask him tomorrow before I buy it. How much are you using in your calibrations, if you don't mind me asking?

OMG Hymee, the guys in the fire house use that SAME term about the sqirrel we see when out driving the trucks around.....

Trying to reach Mr. Mazda Maniac....
After purchasing my AP from a local tuner shop and having it dyno tested I received somewhat disappointing results. I called Cobb and they referred me to you for maps. This tells me that Cobb does not really cater to the Rx8. Unfortunately after visiting your website I learned that I would have to spend an extra 299.00 because I did not purchase the AP from you. I don't know if my shop is going to let me return it. Mod's I have done so far include injen short ram (with plenty of fresh air funneled to it) and a RB cat back. I only have the stock setting that Cobb recommended. My 8 only produced 179 BHP on the dyno and no increase in torque. Would it be worth it in your opinion with the mods that I have done to get a map from you? I do love the 9700 redline.
Usually, a low dyno like that is the result of weak coils or low compression, though it could just be a combination of what your car is going to do and the particular model of the dyno.
Do you have the dyno plot and does it have the AFR reading?
If you want, you can follow the instructions in the new thread for acquiring data logs using your AccessPORT, and I can give you a better idea of whether or not its "worth it" to spend the money.
Unfortunately, after 5 years of market development, we (I) now know that the AEM/MS is the only intake that really delivers.
Even then, its questionable.
At least he didn't get the K&N like the rest of us tried.

Ok, VERY new to this...
My Rx8 is a 2006 Shinka Thinking back when my car was on the Dyno the Defroster was on so I suspect that may have had something to do with the low Dyno results. What I am asking is What can I expect to gain for 300.00 for your Maps? My car is M/t. I have no problem spending the money and you have earned my respect from your reputation. I am just confused if the Cobb map is basically a stock map for my car. And will I notice any gains from one of your maps? Please be patient with me as I did not know what a AP was a few days ago. I am also wondering before I wire it to a relay so it will shut off with my ign. do you suspect Cobb is going to offer a firmware update for this? Thank you so, so much for your patients.
