Morkus, I do have emissions testing. I figure I can swap the stock cat back in when the time comes. If I find the midpipe to be too loud I may only use it on the track.
What I did was remove the cat and had a straight pipe welded in. I left the stock resonator in. I now have unrestricted flow, and the best part is it sounds allmost identical to stock. It is definately not louder. All of this for $35.

When the time comes for me to reinstall the cat, the guy who did it for me is going to simply charge another $35 to do it.

Well like I said in my post, I'm more than willing to pay a fee $$ for the access to maps, which will be supporting jeff and his endeavours to the Rx8 commnity

If you were willing to pay a fee, why not buy the AP from Jeff in the first place??

My calibrations are only available to those that buy the AP from me.

Well I was but saw the GB and what would be the difference in buying the AP through him or paying him for access to the maps?

you guys were too slow to jump on that GB thread.

Twinx: I agree with you on why to buy this from Jeff. I reward those who contribute. It's why I'm a fan of Paul at Mazmart, of Ray with BHR, and to Jeff who is constantly challengine methods and trying to improve our cars.

Carry on...

Saving $5 on the accessport and getting no real map to speak of and no tuner software = bone headed move on an epic scale.

At some point, I'll start offering calibrations as a "subscription" as I mentioned elsewhere, but the people that get the AP from me go first.
And second and third.
Its only fair to them. They came to me because of the support, not the price.

Well to each his own, really not that serious though bruh, just asked a simple question and even offered money in support of jeff's endeavours. But anyway will just have to wait for the tuner software to be released.

I wasn't talking about you specifically. Just in general, anyone who does that is like the people who used to think that if you accelerated hard for a few seconds, you could coast for several times that time, and as a result, your car would save on fuel cost since it was operating only 1/3rd the time.

Lots of things are whacked recently...not just the nest...

I've since then officially moved my liquid refreshment time up a few hours...

in this case, you pay the same, and you get less. Sounds like a deal.

Indeed you have some loyal followers almost like a cult, but anyway I appreciate all you have done and continuing to do for our commnity, was initially going to buy from you by the end of this week but saw the GB and got hella excited but my offer still stands either way, I'm very capapble of tuning my own car just looking for some calibrations to hold me till the software becomes avalaible for us end users. That's all

Ha...I love it when everyone thinks its a cult...perhaps its that most people require religion in their lives to give them purpose so thats all they can relate to...

If you werent so trigger happy maybe you would have slowed down and educated yourself before making a snap decision you regret...

If we were followers we would be bashing...educating I guess makes you an extremist...

Man...now you made me want another mountain dew...

EXTREME!!

Whether or not such dedication on part of our supporters is deserved by we vendors is to be determined by nobody but those individuals who are involved. For me, I really hope the support BHR gets(now and in the future) is mostly based upon the quality of the stuff I offer and my efforts to maintain open communication with my customers and customers-to-be, and only in a very minor way because of how "nice" people might think I am.
I like to think that I show my support with the only thing that counts...MONEY...

How you convince me to give it up is the trick...sadly...I'm about as easy as a prom date...

The "cult" thing makes me uncomfortable.
The thing I've always tried to do here is lift the veil on the mysterious workings of other vendors with a cult following.
I hope that what I'm doing is transparent enough not to need any unveiling.
Certainly, with the upgrade kit, I spelled out the parts list way before I made it a kit.
With the AP, I've spilled the beans as much as Cobb will let me.

However, if it is a cult, I've got some CoolAid over here that's much tastier than that Mountain Dew!

You know...someone once said...the easiest way to get rich is to create your own religion...

Which is how scientology came into existence...

Maybe I have this whole religion thing wrong...sheeple are pretty easy to convince...hmmmm

Funny, just as everyone is getting their APs shipped out, I'm shipping mine back. Hopefully it'll be returned to me soon!
