No, no, no.......read all the name tags.

For engine cooling I'm using a BHR alum radiator along with a radiator rail and one of the heat exchangers for the original sc kit.

For supercharge fluid cooling I'm using a BHR prototype heat exchanger mounted vertically instead of diagonal as originally mounted.

Don't make me drive the car to GA so you can see it for yourself Denny. It will cost you an R3.

Oh heck--and there I go getting all excited and everything.
I did this over a year ago.
I ended up hard mounting the top 1/5th of my a/water cooler onto the front support beam and it acts like a huge heat sink!
The fan actually hurt me and little--if i was sitting still. It was causing hot air recirculation. I took it off. But you have a pusher fan blowing air to the outside? Hmmmmmm.
But getting rid of the coolers in front of the radiator will make a difference in engine coolant temps just as you have seen.
Hey come to Ga---cant give you an R3 but i have a loaf of Banana bread freshly baked.

Moon-- looking good dude--those are much more serious grounds--1st time i have seen them. I havent torn any of my engine away yet.
Are you going to angle that intercooler a little more to help with the outlet angle?
I really like that low profile.
You know I hate you for doing this......I really need to sale this R3---dont make me keep it!

If you notice there's 2 grounds like that. It also grounds 4 black with blue tracer wires. Id say there for the injectors but not sure.

The replacement o2 sender (we burn them up pretty fast) is the same sender available at AutoZone part number 17014--bosch sensor for a VW passat (i think). List for $51 and has a 1 yr warrenty!!
I like that warrenty.

Yeah - it is the sensor for ALL of the VW 1.8T motors.
I use the part number for the Turbo Beetle, but it is the same thing.

Well, after a few attempts at cutting up a perfect piece to top the IC I have done it. Its not as easy as one would think to make it perfect but the lines could never be better. The lines and bends are so clean and sexy your gona like it, fits the intake bend like it was ment to be. As for the air box after stepping back and deciding how best to set it up ive shortend the total length of the horn about 2 inches and angled it a little. Ive also retained all the screens.

Damn Moon---i mean--- Damn Moon---that is really really sweet.
Did you do the wielding?
Especially like that front plate.
And the TB reposition.
I can see a Black crackle finished one now.........purdy.

Why oh why did you have to start this? You KNOW I have this R3 down here......
If you can get the S2 model done like that-- i will be selling my old car and converting the R3. Seriously.
Can you go ahead and put an extra bung into the intake for a w/m nozzle?
Sumbitch----Honey---now I know what I need for Christmas!
Have you flow benched this design?
I am loosing my mind.

Yeh Denny, it turned out better then I thought but thats how it goes in the land of Moonfab. I have not welded that upper tube yet, just fitted it. No flow test but the way I setup the tank forces the air over more of the IC core. Im pretty sure its going to have the same flow rate as the original. Im trying to figure out were to put the bypass valve, should I tuck it away or have it out for all to see, decisions.

PA Question about the Pettit SC system

Hey so quick question about the Pettit SC system. Does the stock fuel delivery system need to be upgraded? If it does, what all do you need to do (injectors, fuel pump, exc...)
Thanks

Been watching the various news articles, including worrisome commentary from Murphy the Bear, and toured the track area as best as I could make out from the maps. Baltimore has a LOT of work to do to get the street circuit usable by Jeeps, let alone Indycar or the ALMS. Those streets are crap.

Article links when I wake up...

Have a good one dude!! Shiny side up. Now you have a good clutch and can let her rip.
We will be at Road Atlanta this w/e for our annual end of the year event with NASA SE.
Don won TTD championship this year and another is on the podium. Yeaa!
High temps in the lower 60's and the car LOVES it.
Put some video up afterward?
get ya an efi dude file while on track--you can tell a lot from it.

I am done. My 10K mile engine blew on the way home from work. No warning--no hiccup--no indication-no nothing. I wasnt in boost--just accelerating to about 40 mph in 3nd after leaving a red light.
All of a sudden---the skip of death.
Plugs were good--everything is good---vacuum at idle down to 12-14, at 2K its at the usual 20 and on lift throttle the usual 24-25. It take longer to crank, but it does.
But it has the dead skip.
Anyone want to buy it? Seriously.
