Well, I'm about to send the car down to Cam next week for an engine rebuild. I can't wait to drive it again.

the low compression rx8 is doing VERY well--from what I understand. He had to rescale the maf and has to push the blower to max rpm. I understand he needs a bigger blower.
Its looking good.

jsk--what happened?

I bet that lift Zman makes it a new world--so wish--.

Recaro Sportser CSs black alacantara, Wedge Engineering brackets and Sparco sliders.

I dont have any new pics of both of them installed, only get the passenger side a few months ago, but heres a few with the drivers side, dont mind the old red and black wheel thats goin this week. Have another waiting with the AutoExe black buckskin wrap ready to go.

Lower compression equals lower RWHP for the same level of boost, the question now is; how much boost can it take?

About 15000 miles on the low compression rotors now, running about 12 PSI on a daily driver.

Blew out the Seals on the rear rotor back in may. I think my injectors were clogged from the car sitting while I was deployed. My AFR was a little lean at times. Cam's going to dig around and figure it all out.

tough man--sorry to hear.
Well --maybe a good opportunity to get a better motor?
Cam and Rick E ( and probably others)have a few tricks up their sleeves.

Rotr8---- i really like what you have done. Performance oriented but refined.
One of the best looking 8's i have ever seen. Every one that knows me know that I am not a "kit" man. But what you have done with the front end has changed that, I would install that front clip on mine if i could get one---and hood too. It works so well together.
rotor on dude.

ok, thanks, I just replace it because I was looking for a solution !

If you do not run a cat--then removed all that air pump stuff and use a blocking plate on the exhaust header to cover the little hole that feeds the air pump thing. You gain a LOT of additional room around the engine. You may have already done this?
Yes already done

Are you SURE the proper connector from the harness is on the proper injector? It is easy to get them crossed up.
I hope so :s

It could be a fuel pressure problem--what fuel pressures are you getting? I see you are running the 255 walbro set up. Do you have your oem pump still? It is easy to swap these out and just to check, you may want to reinstall the oem just to see if your pump is causing some problems?
already done..didn't change at all... still rich AFR ...

I am wondering about the battery... I'll try something !

Ok, I'll try for the battery...

But I do not understand what to look on the MAF Tube ?!

I finished and installed my modified vented hood today in preparation for Sunday’s Sebring Road Race. This hood is only for road racing and not intended for everyday use. I placed my temperature sensor just above the engine/back of alternator (see picture) to check for before and after temps. With the oem hood I recorded 167F after a minute of sitting still and 130F rolling at 50 mph. With the modified vented hood I recorded 150F after a minute of sitting still and 115F rolling at 50 mph. Ambient temps were 92-94F with humidity in the 80% and A/C at full blast.

Tomorrow I'm going to place strings on all three vents and check for airflow.

Temps for Sebring on Sunday are expected to be 85F and low humidity. That will be a big plus.

nice man---and you can put some track graphics on it without having to see them everyday--sweet.
Did it help you coolant temps?

With a fuel pressure gauge.

There is no rail regulator. The fuel system is non-return, so the regulator is a non-externally-referenced part in the fuel pump.
