Probably right---at least. And that will just cover the questions.
Right now --with all the questions that have been answered --it may be that the reason the car is not running (it cranks ok and all lights work + the remote works) is the TB pedal module may be out--really dont know, but sounds encouraging.

Yall-- tomorrow is Juans NASA track day cherry popping time. He will never be the same. We welcome another addict to the crowd!

Houston we have a problem!

Good news: Finally made it to Sebring. 17 turns of nothing but pure adrenaline, very challenging course compared to PBIR. Sorry but I was not able to collect data since I normally leave it for the third and forth session.

Bad news: I was only able to run the first and half of the second heat cuz my clutch gave up. Halfway thru the second heat my Exedy Stage 1 clutch called it quits after @ 25k since installed. I was able to make it home (60 miles away and thank God Florida is very flat) driving at an average speed of 45-50 mph. Pissing everyone off taking off after a red light but I managed to make it back without calling a tow truck.

I do now need to replace the inner core of my Racing Beat aluminum flywheel (not a big deal) but I’m wondering which new clutch kit to purchase.

Exedy Stage 1

Exedy Stage 2

Or another reliable road race proven brand?

Did you have the HD version of the Exedy stage 1? While Pettit is rebuilding my engine, I'm probable going to have them change out the clutch and flywheel as well. I was probably going to go with the exedy HD Stage 1 and the Exedy flywheel.

I didn't know there is an HD version of the Stage 1 and all I know is that the one I have/broke was a Stage 1.

The 2 different part #s are 10803A and 10803AHD. the difference in torque rating is 255-296 ft-lbs.

ouch.
Gladf it was fun and sorry about the clutch. I just did another airfield fun day yesterday with UK 8 club. Great fun but WET so it was crazy slippy after lunch.

The good news was on the last run of the day I did, I got the most sideways ever in my last power slide onto the straight. Wooot!

Not great vid, but good wetness!

Nicez!

I wish autox here in Central Florida were that open but they are not. Too many 90 degree turns and the lack of torque does not give the an advantage to the RX8s.

Loved to see all the RX8s in the background.

Sorry your clutch gave out dude--that really sucks. Paid for the event and all that prep and to have a mechanical issue--just sucks.

The stage 2 will give you a stiffer pedal?
It also will "grab" a lot harder. The strain has to go somewhere. Thats why I stayed with the stage one. I do have the act flywheel.

Was thinking of you Denny watching the Petit Le Mans from Road Hotlanta yesterday. Pretty sure all those GT prototypes would have been quaking in their slicks with the ODster streaking around on those Nittos

Yeap, that's why I went with another Stage 1 but now Stage 1 HD (already on it's way).

Clutch is out and didn't have to replace the Racing Beat aluminum flywheel friction plate cuz the damage occured on the disc/pressure plate side.

Wow and you got home 60 miles later!
Speaks for how tough this car is --in some areas.
Dont you still have to clean the flywheel up?
While you have it out --get the 09 trans in there---you will thank me later.---lol- jk dude

Question STILL in Trouble..maybe a solution !!!

HI all !

I pluged the aeromotive part to have the fuel pressure and I want for a drive !
NOTHING IS GOOD !

Mazdamaniac wrote the it should be between 55 & 65 PSI.

at idle I am at 52.3PSI, when I accelerate it decease then increase but do not go over 52.3 PSI (=3.6bar).

I have a new fuel pump assembly (so new regulator) with a 255lph fuel pump.

What to do now ?
installing a manuel fuel pressure ???
I do not know if my battery in the trunk do not affect the pump power .... ???
Getting a new flash ? where ??

Help wanted

How did you go about the 225l pump installation? Did you modify the pump siphon?

uh---you mean 255, not 225--right? Finger seizure?

Like MM said--check that. Also check voltage to the pump--its a 2 speed pump --so check both voltages.
Are your a/f ratios changing a lot when you have this breakup? Anything indicating fuel starvation? What do the plugs look like? Whats codes are being thrown--if any?
Does the level of gas in the tank have any affect of this?
Dont give up--this can be very aggravating--but its all part of a learning experience.

JM: Been out of the loop on your problem and haven't followed it exactly, but if this problem started or persisted with a new fuel pump, I'd try another pump of known performance.

That, and make sure your mechanic didn't leave one of the dust covers in the supercharger intake ports '

Hey, now that I say that, have you checked your intake for obstruction - maybe you sucked up a seagull or something. If you're running a cat in your exhaust, check it for obstruction; maybe the engine just can't breathe...

Hey, not to bring up this nagging problem again, but can any one tell me where I can source the 3.0mm X 0.8 stainless panhead screws that hold the MAF sensor to the MAF tube?

My car suddenly won t go over 6500RPM...only mod arounding this problem :
battery in the truck & huge exhaust + replacing fuel pump because the fuel connector was broken.

already checked lots of thing, changed all 3 sensors(MAF &02)...now i am kind of lost...
