I did not... I was not convinced that with the heat the renny put out that the grease would not last. I want this car to be able to drive in stop and go rush hour traffic without me questing it... call me old fashioned i have a hard time thinking the grease would hold up and have a hard time trusting it. I did however divorce the coolant lines into its own system running NPG-R and a pump that turns off and on with the car. i could if i really felt spunky run the system on a turbo timer and larger cooler but am waiting to see temps first.

If you dont mind me asking, what are you using for thermal protection on those electrical lines (not the DEI sheath that you have on the ECU harness).

depends on the ones you are talking about. some are wrapped in DEI thermal stuff and some are not. it all depends on where they are located.

dis yo

Looks like the vertical heat sheilding is a DEI insulator tube? The other looks like a stranded type thermal shield?

different parts of the harness got different heat management. the part in your picture was no big deal and got the DEI wrap.

I know, I know, there is just way too much stuff in it. But there will be one less RX-8 in it soon. Then the Honda stuff will be next Then we can do an inventory and create the largest for sale thread known to man.

Yeah man, she is running. We worked out a major exhaust leak at the wastegate V-band but there is a still a slight exhaust leak since he needs a new midpipe gasket. But it starts and idles fine so the vacuum leak doesn't seem too bad. Short Term Fuel Trims are way off though so we need to get a tune loaded and get some logs to see what's up. It's probably a vacuum leak but that is what we have our trusty smoke tester for

But it's drivable, just need to get the small stuff back on.

The bridge port was DOA from the builder and is now a paper weight, the engine in it is a stock build.

Not really. Just did it. The tricky part was finding the correct pump. You dont want a replacement coolant pump as they flow way way more then you would need. I ended up using a Bosch unit from a SC'ed mustang. It draws low amps and flows all i could need. I did not want to mess with a thermostat unit or bypass for just cooing my turbo so it runs with ignition on. My reservoir is one i had no use for already in my engine bay. The hard part is finding a suitable mounting spot and getting all the correct size lines and such.

posted in the engine bay thread, but the strut side of the ingalls needs to be behind the mounting plate. Else it will be at an angle (as seen in the last pic you posted)
