Hoss -05's build thread
This is going to be one of a kind, wish we all could have an S2 laying around to be gutted. Admittedly I prefer the S1 style inside and out, but would love to swap over some components.

Different strokes for different folks. The sad part is the average person at a car show or group get together is not going to know all the work that went into it or why its different.

Yep its getting a secondary rad. The intercooler looks like its blocking alot of air but it is not. The pick below is before i straightened out the IC. I also hope to get a new front grill in soon. Not gonna say what one but its gonna be cool.
sounds like you have it under control . Only made the comment because I had overheating at the track when my large IC blocked flow like that.

Its only marginally larger then the stock greddy. My fingers are crossed that it all works out. I think my fan pack set up should take care of any over heating issues i run into at low speed and hopefully at high speed/RPM's my secondary rad gives me that helping hand i will need.

I only hope to someday touch the amount of info you have opened to the community. BTW: got the wheel well covers installed last weekend. after much debate between 9k and I some more turbo stuff will change but nothing that hopefully delays my engine install this weekend.
Wish the SARX crew luck this weekend. Although the engine is a reman that has 10k on it so it should start right up.
That is Huge coming from you Ash.

I'm still moving forward with the build. I just bought a house and that has delayed things a bit. I'm picking up some new exhaust studds for the engine today. Hope to get all engine long block assembly done this weekend.

Its a Comp-turbo unit based off of the Garrett GTX 35. I don't remember the exact numbers at this moment. It has a very nice Tial SS hot side. Ill have more pics this weekend. I have some new exhaust studs going on and everything will be snugged down and the remainder of the heat management stuff will be put on.

installed, mounts bolted up and oil pan in place.

"Edit": Ok looking back at this pic you cannot see the oil pan. it has a kick out on the spark plug side and had to get installed after the engine drop. it was not a fun process.
