Well... would it be possible to pick it up Thursday morning sometime so I can work on it this weekend?
I basically need to try and figure this out ASAP because everyday is an experience right now.
Just about everyday I can't get the car into gear for almost 10min when I first turn it on.
And then I can't shift at higher RPMs (above 4K RPM) at any point because my pedal free-play increases as the RPM does.

Oh yea, that sounds fun.

Thursday AM will work just fine. . . I've been transferred back to the Southway plant so I can't just run out there and grab it, so I need to know exactly what components you'll need so I can get them together.

I'll just give you a call sometime today. U want those Browns tix?

Any car, rotary or not, will not function right until its repaired.
You are choosing to throw random components at it in hopes the problem will just "go away".
Sorry to sound like a dick, but I don't feel sorry one bit.

Its just like Steve in the beginning... he bitched about his car always stalling and how he was going to get rid of it.
We finally calmed him down and all of us headed to Canton to look it over. And that is when we found the stuck SSV.
So don't get irritated at the car... its going to run like that until its fixed... bottom line!
.
Not looking for sympathy...it has been running 100% fine since I replaced the coils. It was a joke reflecting my ongoing 'to do' list and experiences. Nothing more. The 8 is the most fun car I have owned..when it is running properly.

Confidence is the word I was looking for. When all is well the 8 kicks a@@. It is just the wrong car for the kind of driving I do right now. I would buy a 2nd car and have the 8 as a summer 'fun' car but we can't have cars parked outside where we live at the moment. When we move next and I have a proper 3 or 4 car garage I'll have no problems. So for the moment I'll keep the 8 until spring-ish and look for something more suited for my weekly commute of 450 miles. I'm thinking an E Class Mercedes diesel....

That was more of a vent on my part towards the majority of newer/younger kids who we deal with now on this forum.
It wasn't a complete "bash" at you, but more the lyrical outline you spoke of that many on this form share.
Don't take it personally...

Anyone bored today or tomorrow and want to help me bleed the clutch?
I'm swapping out the master clutch cylinder and need a 2nd person in the car to pump the clutch pedal.
Let me know...

Hey Ben,

Good to hear from ya. I thought you had moved west (seattle maybe) several months ago. Tried calling once, but didnt know if it went through as your phone has no VM msg.

Did you ever finish off that motorcycle project with your buddy? Sell the Shinka?

I'm not totally confident that this will fix my issue and if this doesn't work, I'll be dropping the tranny again.
That would be the best opportunity to see/learn the clutch operation anyway.
