I like the second one better. One suggestion, when looking at the "8" in the icon, I thought it was a 9 at first. The line through the 8 just below the middle of it and just above the "RX" is what is throwing me off. Maybe if you removed that one line? Just a suggestion.

Looking a lot better. What if you just put "rx-8" across the bottom between the two legs of the arch like you have "rx" now. and then stick a rotory triangle up top inside the arch. Looking really good. just a suggestion.

I got bumped from behind on my way to work today. Little to no damage. couple scrathces and plastic under licenses has a small depression in it. Not a big deal right.....
The guy has
1. no license
2. no insurance
3. no license plate--his was stolen
4. gave fake name
5. gave fake address
6. gave fake phone number
7. gave fake SS#
8. gave me a wave goodbye when I called the cops.
Repeat after me....."Hit and run."
I am really not stressing it. I will investigate the damage closer in the morning. I I am really thinking it isn't even bad enough to fix. ...hopefully.

In the state of MO. (at least in the unincorporated county) you don't need the police to respond to an accident that doesn't have injuries*. You can just exchange information. Most of the time officers won't write a report but will give both drivers a form that includes the drivers information.
*YMMV - there are a few exceptions to this, but for the most part you can just exchange info.
But, yeah that sucks when they give you bogus information.

A discussion started over in the STL Spotted 8 thread about the following:
Would anyone be up for a cruise through Missouri Wine Country around middle to end of October? Fall colors will be at their peak and the road our just calling to be driven on by our 8's.
What say you? Let's start tossing around some ideas of dates and time.

Sorry for not staying up with this fall drive idea guys. I have had a crazy week and just let it slip my mind. It is going to be nice tomorrow, but it is too late in the game to really get things rolling for tomorrow. Considering timing factors for this weekend, and the fact that my sons birthday is Sunday, I would say we shoot for next Saturday morning. I know the fall colors are supposed to be peaking late this year and should still be good for next weekend. Can't say as far as the weather goes though..
From a planning standpoint if anyone is still interested I can find a resource for a road map of the area and make copies for anyone interested. We could meet at the commuter lot at the southeast corner of 94 and 40/I64. From there we could head south on 94 to F and then head West through the valley and then cut south on Schluseberg rd.. This ends back at 94 and we could then head into Augusta and down Augusta bottom rd. This backroad ties into Osage Ridge rd which curves its way back across the hills to T. We could then make a left on T, go a few miles West, and then make another left onto TT which would take us South into Dutzow. Once there we could make our way back North up 94 maybe stopping at Klondike park, and then on up through Defiance and back up to St. Charles.
This is a great drive with lots of curves and scenery, and is realistically a good 2 hour jaunt with a stop or two. Makes for a nice morning drive without taking up the whole day. The truth is I drive or ride this every now and then, so if anyone has the time and doesn't want to wait until next weekend, feel free to hit the back-roads down there this weekend. Do be aware that the cops are pretty vigilant on the main roads due to potential drunk and wreckless drivers coming out of the wineries. That is the only downside to this driving area.
Let me know what you guys think and sorry for being such a slack dog..

Sounds like a good idea. Except that I work 9-6.
Several years back my stl dsm group did that drive down to johnson shutins. It was so much fun.
I off today work next saturday and then off again the next saturday.
Any chance some peeps want to get together tommorrow sunday the 21st and drive that route or something similar? Noonish? (Going out tonight, hangover will be surtain.) We need to make sure it is "safe" for the rest of the gang. We wouldn't want our group driving on any roads that are too curvy and dangerouse.

Its 3:15a.m. and I am sh*t faced drunk. I guess there are no takers on above proposal. Will someone plan an event already?! Looks like I go for a drive alone tommorrow....wait...my friend with the evo will probably hang.
