Yeah those guys are cool. I'm thinking something exclusive to the RX-7 RX-8 models. Hmmm.

Hey i might as well post that our Club is having another birthday bash at Adrenaline Motorsports in St. Chuck.

January 24th starts at 1:00PM. Dyno runs will be discounted and there will be free food. I'll also have my audio meter again if anyone wants to test thier sound system. Hope to see some of you there!!!

Hey Brett, yeah, we had a dyno day recently in Highland, IL. The Viper got up there and posted 426whp, bone stock. We also had a Casino Queen night. Back around Halloween, we had a haunted cruise. Usually something going on every two or three weeks. Unlike trying to get a large group of Rotaries together in winter, there is always a decent turn out with them.

Nothing against this club, but it seems like we can never get a group to turn out for a gathering, that is why we stopped trying to put anything together.

Dyno runs are $25 for three pulls. There will be food and drinks also. Feel free to bring some food and drink yourself. Its gonna be a good time!

Had a great time! Good to meet you maskedferret! I went from 169.57hp/121.81torque to 187.64hp/131.34torque. Only took a few bolt on's . 200hp N/A or bust!

Likewise! I hope to go to a car show outing one of these days; I'll keep tabs on the stlscion forum for updates. Here is my dyno graph:

I'd say my last run was probably the most accurate. I'm going to change out spark plugs, wires, and coils to see if that might help at all.

Hey, I'm a new RX8 owner here in the STL area, and I have a CEL on that Autozone, Advanced Auto, and O'Riellys all say is a P2009 code. Which in the Mazda world for our car is a bogus code. I guess there readers can't read our code? So I was wondering if anyone in the area had a reader for our car and woudln't mind hooking it up to my car real quick, I don't feel like dropping 70 bucks to a dealer for this.

I'd really appreciate as I'm gettin really frustrated with this thing, but love it at the same time and just want it fixed.

Thanks

Welcome, joe! I just posted in one of your threads asking about the code. I have an OBD scanner (Hymee sCANalyzer), and it SHOULD be able to pull codes. I just gotta get it plugged into my car to make sure it still works (it's been collecting dust under my seat).

I have a scanner as well that can read or clear codes. My 8 throws a CEL every once in a while due to the CAI I think but it could be the coils as well. Just waiting on my BHR ignition!

This morning at approximately 8:15am on Interstate 70 passing UMSL campus, my car turned 100,000 miles. No more warranty to hold me back on mods. Supercharger, here I come!!! lol

BTW Ferret, if I was lying, I would come up with something better than cake tasting. lol

I would love to do something with no cat, but emissions suck...

and im broke lol...

but anyways, anyone in the STL area good at detailing wanna help me with my first detail this spring? ive never really dont a GREAT detail and would like to be shown the correct way all the way through...

and just a heads up, i bought my 8 used with about 80k on the odometer... so there are imperfections in the paint (little rock chips, previous owner did something to rear bumper, i might be able to fix that though)...

i know detailing is a time consuming thing, and probably really simple... i just wanna see it done right so i can do it myself for the summer.
