Hey guys, it's official; the RX-8 has exchanged hands; I am now driving a 2012 Miata SE (not my picture) :



The RX-8 is definitely missed, but it was starting to show its age

I hope everyone is doing well during this crap weather! Even though I'm no longer spinning triangles, I can try to make it to meets if they come up!

 

Mike I think you are the longest owning RX8 owner I know in the area. Im glad things worked out though. Are you planning to do some autocross in the Miata? I really want to get into it this year with my 91 Miata.

I've owned the car since November 2006, so that was a good 8+ year run.

Autocross is definitely a possibility, but I wouldn't be doing it very often.

 

First time owner here in Ofallon MO. Any meet ups here? Chesterfield? St. Peter's? St charles?

Hey Circutracer, I usually try to set up a couple of cruises throughout the summer but theres not too big of a crowd here anymore for scheduled meets. Im not sure if you are on Facebook or anything but if so your best bet is checking Missouri Mazda Movement or STL Mazda for any local meets. Hope you love your 8. If you need any help let me know. There is a ton of info on this forum just takes a little looking for.

There was just a rotary meet for the St Louis area. Once I know when I will have my car back in good running order I will most likely set up some kind of cruise. At least a month out though.

 

Wow, it looks like no one in STL cares about rotaries anymore... I've been looking for a cheap 2007 or 2008 auto but no joy yet. The search continues...

 

Well man I may be the only 8 owner in StL who doesn't hate his own car...

Hey all, just popping in to say "Hi!" Seems like it's been a bit quiet lately; work has been keeping me busy for sure. How are things going here?

I went to one BSCC autocross last year in the Miata, but haven't had a chance to go again; has anyone been active in any local events? I might try to be more active next year.

I suspect this is his car based on the superblue-stained brake fluid reservoir (should probably change the fluid at one point if you haven't; I left speed bleeders on), the silver AP pulley, and aero kit + front splash guards.

I was pretty sure I saw circutracer going north on 270 a few months ago from behind (faded left exhaust shroud). I don't recall the carbon fiber hood as I passed him. Overall looks nice!

 

Hey all just moved to KCMO from ND! Just checking in to see if there are any tuners in the area that can do basic changes. Lower the temp for when the fans turn on, increase OMP rate, make changes to turn off CEL for no cat.

Maybe we can get this thread alive again! Anyone up for a drive this summer?

 

what are you using to tune your car?

 

I was hoping to find someone with mazdaedit or versa tuner or something similar that would be able to do it. I have an oem ecu on my car.
