I'm surprised Adam hasn't said anything yet but he got 3rd place out of 30 RX8's at DGRR!

 

He said it on Facebook and showed off his carbon fiber looking trophy thing. I've heard other people on here that saw him mention it as well.

Anyways DGRR was awesome. Hopefully you guys can get there next year. I didn't have cell service within 100 miles of the place really except for very small spots.

First place for the 8s was Firecran with the white 8 with a REW swap and second was I believe slvrstrk silver 8 with mazdaspeed kit and petit supercharger. Rotr8 didn't enter the show.

Also as of now I need to find a new location for the Mazdameet. Pere Marquette cancelled due to flooding.

That might be a good idea, but I know a couple people are fairly far from there.

 

Many of the usual gatherings are in Chesterfield, St. Charles, or Illinois. I guess we are mainly the ones down this direction. I imagine if we were somewhere close to 55 or 44 people could find their way back without any issue.

 

I don't think finding the way is the problem. Just time and gas Tim. GPS solves all of that!

 

Then let's just meet at JB and not have a drive. Just a big BBQ.

Yeah. There would be plenty of room. Just no real good drive around there.

 

Do you think it would be a problem finding a Pavillion for 50 or so people? I haven't been there in a while.

 

I believe there are some big enough. Keep in mind what weekend that is. I grew up right up the street from there and haven't been in a while either.

 

I just checked the county parks site and I believe you would have to call to find out.

...this place has really died...anyone who may be interested, were hosting a car show at Gateway Grizzlies stadium again this year. Last year sucked due to rain so bring some 8s out. Will be free tickets to the game, models, gateway motorsports will be out here with there cars and a few live radio spots.

 

Hello, RX-8 owner from Pacific here. Anyone know any local shops that do reliable rebuilds? I'm currently leaning toward loading the car up on a trailer and driving it down to TN so Rotary Resurrection can fix it, but I figured I'd see if anyone here knew of a rotary specialist shop with reliable and affordable rebuilds nearer to home.

 

I helped someone yank his out over the summer so he could send it there. That seems to be the best solution for someone around here.
