St Louis area 8 owners
hey modena, you going to the autocross on the 9th?
to all: my girlfriend is probably going to be there
so make sure that you all talk about your 8's a lot so i look less crazy by comparison (she thinks I'm obsessed and I always tell her that at least I'm not as crazy as some of the people online; ie: the show and shine people)

That would be great! Thanks! The apexi says it has a 80 mm flange (which I think is the peice of rubber that would connect it to the MAF area) and I converted it from that commie metric system to good old stubborn american system and it comes out to be 3.1 inches so that should fit right?

So..... Are we installing Revi's on the 7th?, 8th?. I know we will all be at Gateway on the 9th. Hey that means I'll be running in the same class too....Right? Let me know what I can bring for the BBQ.
I would say the 8th is really the only day we can do the intakes since they most likely won't be in this weekend. This weekend I need to finish a couple of open projects I have on the car (ipod hardwiring and cleaning of the interior).
If I knew we were doin an install day I might have waited to put on my exhaust which took me almost all day friday by myself. Oh well, I should be gettin clear corners soon, maybe they'll be here by then.
OK so no install and BBQ for now .... Maybe another time. However I hope there is a big turnout on the 9th. Maybe........baseballgenius80, myfuncar, nomopistons, spoiledblk8, jds3, spdspappy, fourdoor, miketyson8mykids, tjbourgoyne, rxevolved, fisherdn, v22guy, and snowboarder4eva will all show up as well.
Waterlogged how are you hardwiring your iPod? I am looking ot do that soon and the part I was looking at is about $120. It allows you to control the IPod from the steering wheel, charges it, and gives you a 1/8" in or video out connection: http://www.therpmstore.com/product_i...roducts_id=142
If you have something better let me know.
I bought a leather Kuda mounting platform and I love it.
Looks classy and keeps the look that I was going for and is sturdy. http://www.kudausa.com/kuda_mount_an...04-24-230.html

Eventually I had to get a small spring compressor to compress down those springs so I could reach the thread with the nuts. But its on now and it sounds and looks great!

Looks like a decent sized group in St Louis. Looking for other 8'rs. Am glad to see some around. When is next time group is meeting, and if i may be so bold, where? Thanks. My apologies as it is late, and i haven't zipped through the whole thread.
We are all meeting Sunday July 9th 7:00 - 7:30am at Gateway. Waterlogged will hopefully post directions and times and info again. (if you read through the post you can get the info as well). We had a blast the last time at the autocross.
Anything on this site look interesting to you guys?
