MM Rules
Maybe it's just the influence of Hund, but holy crap!!!
I sent in my 4.0 datalog about 5 weeks ago.
So, I'm not a patient man........but I was hoping it would be worth it.
I got my 4.0.1 map on Tuesday....
Sent in my Datalogs Wednesday....
And only 19 hours later...wahla....4.0.2 map.
MAP voltage almost perfect throughout.....nice power on the low end.
A little dumpy on the boosted end...but wow such a fast turnaround.....
Just thought I'd share.

just remember to follow the instructions (exactly) or your turn around won't be quite as fast.

Also, question about this. Will doing the zoom engine cleaner procedure screw with the logs? I'm assuming it will only if the engine had a lot of buildup, since it'll change all the flow properties... but maybe not, since the car will adjust on its own?

flashed to 4_0_6 this morning on my way to work and I think that this might be my last tune!
Won't know until I send my logs to Jeff. I know that it is all in my head and butt dyno, but from the beginning to the end I felt a difference every step of the way. My 8 runs like a champ, thanks Jeff!!!

I have been testing out the 10k rpm limiter now and oooh its sweet. The sound from the engine is gorgeous.
I have one little "problem", the gear stick vibrates slightly always and sometimes just at 9krpm it hits a resonance so it sounds loud. Sounds pretty much like a noisy computer fan when it starts vibrating against the computer chassis.
Since this starts at 9k rpm i sometimes get a droning noise throughout the rest of the rpm range. I don't mind since it is not all the time, but do you guys think this could be damaging?

Possible, but unlikely if it is just a noise. In case of noise a slight change in the gear lever construction would solve the issue.
I believe they would set the rpm limit to 9k for the simple reason that it has a large enough margin to engine failure there. All components are chosen to withstand a bit more than what they have to. I believe that by moving the rpm range to 10k we have lessened the margin, but there is one still.
