I swear... My butt dyno can tell a difference already with the very first tuned map ! I sent in my new logs with the WOT runs just a few minuites ago. It already feels like a different car!
I just want to say thanks again to MM (Jeff) for all you are doing for the RX-8 community.
I dont want to start a battle or flame war, but, in my opinion if you bought your AP from anyone besides MM, you made an epic mistake.
I can't describe how happy I am with the change so far and I'm sure it only gets better!

I had my car at 4200 on the dash but the A.P i guess read 3900/4000 range... and i just sent out the data to MM.

As long as you have logs in open loop at a constant rpm that should work fine for your cruise values.

Ok so lets see if anyone can help me here, I went out tonight and did some WOT with the new map. And it seems to be fine AFR wise. So im at about 5-6psi on the GT3071R, how high can I go in psi with the current map? Should I just go up 1 psi at a time and see how it affects the AFR or what? Im lost here hehe.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I had an incredible service last night. I handed in logs last night Swedish time and had a new tune this morning when waking up.
It seems Hund and MM really are getting the workflow together now. Great work you two! This more than makes up for the initial delay of three weeks I had.

Just a question for everyone.. How detrimental is it to increase the redline to 10k rpms? Has anyone here been running with increased redline and using it often? Any problems?

As far as I understand 10krpm is not damaging the engine. It is just that the safety margin is smaller than with 9k rpm. If you want to go further you need to do modifications, but the stock engine should take 10k without an issue.
Of course you shouldn't drive all the way to work in 1st gear 10krpm, but then again you should not do that at 9krpm either

A quick question. I have to go through emission checks in a couple of days. Should I revert to stock map before emission checks or is the tune emissions friendly?
I have the stock cat on.
Which is most emission friendly stock tune or MM tune? It feels like the MM tune should be more emissions friendly, i.e. it is more optimized and therefore the fuel likely burns better but hey I'm a noob

should pass either way but revert to stock if you want to play it safe.
PerSmitt: that's AMAZING how quickly you got your maps. Maybe that's why MM isn't posting any more, he's chained himself to his desk with a case of Monster Java Drinks, and is hard at work creating maps.
