As for the people who complain, you really think all that bitching is going to make him go any faster Jeff is a Great Guy enough said.
Wow, I would applaud your post really. But then again the last part is so wrong. We have a right to ask and complain and expect service that we were promised. Specially when it is your DD car and you have problems driving smoothly. So dont talk our of your *** pls. I think most of us are very patient. But it gets to the point were you just can't stand the waiting without information or just cant stand driving your car the way it is and not being able to do anything about it.

And yeah he is a great guy, and he is a VERY knowledable guy but that doesnt say anything about how he is handling this, which belive me I understand fully because this is not his fulltime job and that is why I think people dont complain as much. But still when you are expecting service you like to ask and know about it. I understand and that is why I dont bitch and complain here as much. I just ask for updates and try to help people that ask things that maybe I have already been through.

Hey Jeff, can you please tell me if you recieved my payment for the AP. I placed the order 3 days ago and the money was deducted from my account, but that is all I know. I'll appreciate if you can confirm the payment. Email is ramos1556@yahoo.com. Thanks again!

Sebtow:
1st: Alien lives in Puerto Rico so English is most likely not his first language, quite with the insults.
2nd: No Tuners in PR?! You do realize some of the best 3 rotors come from PR and they don't exactly tune themselves.

Lets get back on topic now...

wow that guy has some serious racial problems. The funny thing is most of the time I post here I am either asking for information or helping people that ask info since Jeff isnt always there to answer.

Oh and Jedi we do have tuners here but most if not all only tune microtechs and stuff like that I have asked about tuning for accessport and they look at me with a strange face. Hopefully I will have this fixed by Jeff soon and be happy. We shall see, I will just have to wait.

Yeah, not necessarily a good market since people here dont really tune RX8's except for the ones that have other engines. I dont know if any tuners are willing to spend to learn. We have a big rotary community of OLD rotaries, RX8's from people that like to modify their cars are a dime a dozen. Most RX8's you see here are stock or just have exterior mods to make it look different. I am starting to familiarize myself with the street tuner and I am going to start to look for a tuner to help me if I cant solve this issue with the tuning.

I really dont want to venture into uncharted territory for me. I know Jeff has the know how to tune this and my car really isnt that far form being tuned. I just need to get the injector scaling and target AFR's for some RPM's fixed. My car idles perfectly and cruises perfectly. I just need to fix that its going rich at partial throttle with a little load while not even in boost so it kinda sputters and then the issue that at 6k+ rpms its going over the 12.5AFR mark.

I will keep patiently waiting for a little longer before I decide what to do.

I really do understand how Jeff does his business and I am very happy with his tunes so far. So if it takes some time to get my car 100% its better to do it this way than having someone do it wrong and mess up my car.

I am sorry if I blew up earlier but that guy Sebtown or whatever just got it all wrong. Now its time to move on with the thread

Ok, i'm done here.. let me quote MM's page first..

"After following the simple instructions you will receive along with the calibration files and selecting the appropriate start-up calibration, you can then request up to five (5) additional personalized customizations over a period of six (6) months "

I've gotten 2 of my 5 additional calibrations, over a 6 month period because of waiting. I paid for a 48 hour turnover. .. $300 is a lot of money to throw away. Because right now I'm waiting for a tune on a car that's undrivable. let me again quote his page..

"You will receive a confirmation within 24 hours of your submission.
Provided you have followed the directions correctly, you will receive an adjusted calibration within 48 hours (business days, Monday through Friday) after receiving your confirmation e-mail."

Fortunately this is clear enough for legal action. I would like a partial refund of my money.
I really don't want to go through legal channels. This is ridiculous, I would have NEVER signed up for such an unreliable response time, after reading his page.

This seems a familiar theme around here.

You guys ever think about DIY?

I wonder if Jeff would be willing to look over a tune you guys do and correct it.... I mean he gets paid either way.

thats not a terrible idea, but the end result would be much the same situation

Maybe not - because you could drive the car; and it is always faster to do a QA than to create a tune.

I don't know man - I am trying to help a brother out - LOL; just seems like the guys who are screwed are the FI guys (as in no can drive car untuned) - and they signed on for a more intimate car owning expierience than most..... so crack a few books and get to it!!!!

Ok, I have a problem, not related to these past posts.

I got my ECU replaced my Mazda and my Cobb replaced. Both under warranty. I have a 04 MT. The Cobb wouldn't let me load my previous MM maps...Well I now know why...

Turns out the dealership put a 05 MT Cali ECU in my car...

So Jeff, where do we go from here? Start all over with 05 mt cali maps...even though im a 04 mt? Emissions are soon and I was looking foreword to making my P0420 disappear....
