Regardless of size, here it is, working perfectly with the out of the box tune by Jeff.

Looks like 11.1 - 11.5 AFR during WOT. I wouldn't mind it a tad richer, but it's amazing how spot on it is for a tune without any customization. I'm using 3 2b map btw.

Jeff - are you using a machined MAF mount on this MM CAI?

Nice to see this all come together for you Jason. It's a tad bit loud for me - but hell, I can't complain, I'm not boosting yet, so what do I know!

I have an exhaust leak. Its quieter without it. Almost stock unless I'm on the throttle.

Ordered mine from mazdamaniac.com a few hours ago. Hope it's in time for this batch.

I'm late to the game but apart from a lack of onboard datalogging, this appears to be the best engine management solution so far for the RX-8.

That's the whole point of my slow build up to the turbo... I have everything almost in place. I wanted to wait until the OEM ecu could be flashed - it was only a matter of time. The only mod I will need to part with is the REVi intake.

So how many pounds extra was the car... exactly?

Was it a WRX STi?

I repeat anybody else ditch the vdi part of the intake--deactivate it?

You can set it to open at an absurdly high RPM...or you can just remove the actuator. Not sure if it has a position switch or not though.

The reflashes should give total control over the intake valves

i'd be interested in seeing what happens if all the intakes are open all the time. if it's noticeable in regular driving or not, and if it makes the powerband smoother.

I would think NA it would be worse...

Turbo...I think the VDI should stay closed...and the APV could be open all the time if you run around in boost a lot...

I can't see when I'd be at 6K +RPM and not in boost

One thing I have noticed lately - I'm finally using oil! I had one of those 8's that never seemed to inject enough oil. That is why I have been premixing for 30K now.

well i dont know if anyone replied to this, but if you did do that, your drivability would suck. you would have no low end power N/A. turbo i dont know about. but low rpms need long narrow intake runners to fill the combustion chamber properly. long narrow runnners increases the speed and turbulence of the air entering the chamber, which results in a lot better VE than if all the intake ports were open all the time. thats just N/A. turbo could be different.
