the dyno is useful if you want to see the final whp number, but it's not required for tuning. Jeff supplies a bunch of different maps, and based on the maps, you can pick how lean or how rich your car runs.

It's like one of those old "Choose your adventure" books.

I love this thing already! Car is smoother and coolant temp hasn't exceeded 190F since installing the MM Map! Well ok, it is night out, but it still usually gets into the 200s. I'm on 1b now after the initial STFT readings and ~15 miles of driving on the base with a LTFT result of -4%, and now with over ~15 miles on 1b I'm showing a LTFT of -2%. Think I'm going to go for 2b, and maybe I'll get a perfect reading hehe.

Two things; What is the redline on MM NA maps? Is stage 2 at all suitable for those with cats?

Hey Jeff,
I'm looking at purchasing the AP from you at the beginning of next month.
One question is, if I purchase the BHR ignition system after the AP, will you need to create a new map or have you seen that the BHR does fine without adjustments because the dwell settings are the same as stock.
I know that MazSport's ignition solution will need a new map, just curious if you've seen a difference with the BHR.
Thanks for all your hard work.

Without tooting my horn too hard - I created the BHR ignition.
Its CRH's marketing prowess that is making it available to you all.
I've been running the system since February.
It doesn't require anything special from the calibration unlike some other options out there.

I like that.... you said exactly who you're talking about, without actually saying it Hoping to get that ignition system soon after the AP. I won the raffle thing and had to choose between the mazsport ignition or the AP and lucky for me, CRH reminded me of the upcoming BHR ignition which is cheaper. Supposedly getting my AP ordered soon... he has all the information he needs now I think so hopefully he gets the order in before the weekend is over...

The dyno doesnt really help much, now if you were to post an AFR graph, that could help.

He can talk about the mods on the car, but the strange thing is the "studder". We ran 3 rx-8's on that same dyno and he was the only one to haev that very jagged plot. Mine was very smooth (i'll post it tomorrow) Very strange..... Some problem with the ignition, perhaps?

why would you want to do that?

you realize that the Emanage is a piggy back fuel/spark controller dont you?

and also that the AP is a tool that can change the fuel/spark maps the OEM computer uses right....??

so if you use the AP to get the fuel and spark you want, then WTF do you need a buggy piggyback controller for???

sell it. If you have an AP, there's no reason to go through the hassle of installing that and such.

Don't get the greddy kit. You'll end up replacing the turbo, the ecu, and a few other bits later anyway. Get the MM kit.

The jaggedness is just the smoothing.
The dyno is low.
Your engine has issues.
Could be ignition, CAT, compression.
Also, we need to know AFRs to see what the tune is doing.

Anyone have info or a link on these questions? I was discussing this with CRH at the Tampa dyno meet, but he wasn't sure exactly how extreme the stg 2 was at the time.

Also, all other variables consistent, is it better to have a slightly positive or slightly negative LTFT? 1b and 2b are well within the acceptable standards in the instructions, but I've gotta decide
