So i went to see a football game in Santa Maria, (work project) and on the way back i snapped these shots in Solvang. Too bad i forgot to close my gas cover :P I can definitly see why amber corners look on red 8, this field does not look as good as i thought it would either.

nascar race was sunday at fontana i beleive, a bunch of us went to irwindale to see drifting on thursday.

 

We went to the NASCAR race! it was last minute. a firnd called us with extra tickets, so Michelle and I got to go. It was a good race! the last half was AWSOME.

 

Lesper: Solvang is such a fun little place. Gotta love all the little bakeries they have there.

You guys should all look into the big Annual RX Drive when it comes back next summer....drive from So Cal all the way up to Solvang. I bet there's tons of good photo ops up there.

 

Less then you think and there are lots of turists. (sp)

This was a great event and I imagine even more so when they get more competative, since the Nascar guys were still learning somewhat

whats up everyone!!!!! just got back...... what a long weekend! wasnt as busy as everyone thought it would be!

called my engine builder.......ITS READY!!!! we are gonna arrange for him to drop it off at my work either tomarrow or wednesday..... im getting my engine, modified turbo header to fit the 1.00ar housing, and the 1.00ar housing.... so all i really need (i think, but im already getting prepared for the 1000 little things im gonna forget about) is all the fuel lines, AN fittings, downpipe, exhaust, intercooler piping, wiring, battery relocation kit, fuel pump, brake master cylinder, brake booster, and hks spark plugs.....

yup, im really close now! (note the sarcasm ) im starting to have my doubts about it being ready for 7stock9

 

hey jesse i would love to help (if possible) or maybe just look at the process, i also want to install my springs for this next weekends meet. if keith comes over this week maybe we could car pool. we will see what happenes when everyone is back in town.

 

Well I think I sold the RX-2 we will find out tomorrow (he said yes, waiting for deposit).
I dont feel like typing a lot, and I know most of you dont care, so Ill make it short. we worked on the 2 a little today and discovered a copuple problems, one the carb/throttle will not open all the way due to it hitting a bolt, and the trailing coil is not sparking what so ever.

after fixing both of those problems it is MUCH MUCH better. still not like it should be, but at least drivable. the guys was pretty happy with it so we will see it I get the deposit tomorrrow or wednesday or not. I put it up for sell on ...... friday, or saturday. I think it was Friday.

ok, well my engine builder gave me some teaser shots, im so excited now

 

how do they keep the dust and other particles from getting stuck inside when they build something from scratch like that?

 

oil pan is sweet!

detrick, when it is built it is cleaned beond belife. (took me like 40 hours to cean.) then once built, you tape up all the open spots. if you look at the pics you will see tape over the intake ports. I would imagine he taped up the exhaust ports after the pics were taken. unless he is keeping the header on, then he would tape up the header.

Jesse: Wow, that engine is lookin' SWEEET!!! Sounds like you've got quite a bit of work ahead of you but it would be awesome to see that beast at SS9! (chanting) do it, do it, do it!!
