That would be fine with me. I'm sure that is fine with Cesar as well. He would like to jump in the carpool lane and stay there, rather than get off the freeway to meet at Beryl Park.

well lady's and gent's. i just got my recall notice today. they want to replace plugs if needed, replace cat. if needed. and they are suppose to reprogram the car to stop too much gas from getting in chamber or something like that . will this give me slightly better gas mileage. oh also i get afree engine if needed.. man and i was just getting use to burning rubber on these tires. who knows what the reprogram will do..pluse i get a free loan car. probably a kia bottom line model..
Scremn8,
I've been keeping really close tabs on this recall since it was rumored a few months ago and it's nice to know the notices are finally arriving.
They're basically going to richen the fuel mixture in order to lower the cat temps with that new Flash. Not too much else going on with it.
They'll do a compression test and should it fail (which most will not), then that's when you'll get a new engine. (well, almost new...they're remanufactured engines but close enough)
Guess I'll wait for mine in the mail soon...

yeah, I got my notice too...the 5yr/60k is nice. But my car died again and I don't think it's just the battery since I had been driving it and came home to get something. I noticed the fan stayed on for a long time, then when I went to go drive it again 30 mins later, nothing.
I guess if it was going to die at least it dropped me off at my house first. I hope they can fix for good because I really do like it. I need 4 seats and I want a sports car.....doesn't leave me a lot of options.
Maybe I should have gone with the Infiniti or Mustang.....but I liked the 8 the best
Plus the Mustang I wanted was 45k and I still liked my 8 better
Sorry to vent but I'm NOT happy right now!!!
But it is hard to not feel like I should have just gotten the Mustang.....although, I wouldn't have met you nice people, hmmm ok maybe Im still glad I bought the 8.

oh no Zoo!!! I'm sorry to hear that you're having this problem with your 8.
Few quick questions:
- Have you ever had your plugs, battery, or starter replaced?
- You said; "died again" Last time it did this, was it after a long drive, short drive, hadn't been driven for a while? (I have a theory, just wondering what happened last time)
- yours 04 or 05?
Oh, and you definitely made the right choice not buying the Mustang.
