Gotta love that UPS chant!

Status: Delivered
Delivered on: 08/04/2006 10:30 A.M.
Location: FRONT DESK
Shipped or Billed on: 07/31/2006

Now, I have to wait til I get home to see it and install it.
Fortunately, I have thick gloves so I don't need to wait for my stock exhaust to cool down before removing it.

HaHa...
I didn't leave it there. We looked in your garage, but I didn't see it. Found it when I got home.

I'm going to lunch right now and get some recordings of the stock exhaust.
Then I'll do it with the new exhaust.

Cesar,
You're gonna post pics of tonight? I think you should just unveil it to everyone at the meet tomorrow.

Sound clips would be nice though...see if anyone can figure out which exhaust it is just by the sound.

the address is:

4830 Las Virgenes Rd, Calabasas

We will be taking the 210 and going on the 101....exitting Las Virgenes. Big caravan. I'll be up front with my Nav and my cruise control set at 73.

No matter how fast or slow you go, in large groups someone tends to get lost.
And, since you guys posted cool maps, I wanted to post one too.

Here's a link with the directions from Beryl Park to the Cheveron Station.
http://maps.google.com/maps?daddr=48...=UTF8&t=h&om=1

If you don't have GPS, I suggest printing it out or text messaging yourself the directions, just in case.

Directions
Take the 210 West (32 miles)
To the 134 West (14 miles)
To the 101 North (19 miles)
Exit Las Virgenes Rd turn left

It's 64.8 miles from the park.

Definitely won't post pics tonight.
I like your idea of the sound guessing game, but I'm not sure if I'll have time.
I need to be somewhere later tonight, so I'll be rushing just to get it installed after work.

Cesar was able to do the install by himself....I got to see/hear it. Not giving out any hints as it would ruin the surprise for tomorrow morning. See you guys at Beryl at 8:30. We are leaving at 8:45, without exceptions.

If you are running late, give someone a call to let us know where you are at. My cell is (714)8097602. Cesar posted the route a couple posts earlier....so you know where we will be. 210/134/101......

Malibu tomorrow...its going to be exciting. I'm excited to share it with those who have not been yet, and happy to share my last one with those who have gone before.....see you tomorrow morning. Bring your cameras...as we still have next years calendar to think about.

Did Zoo ever say whether she was coming or not?

Be cool to show you the roads out here June....see you in September. I know I can say this for the bunch, Malibu was a fun alternative to what we have been doing lately. I think most people had a good time. Link us to the video when it is up....no pressuure or anything ....but the quicker you get it ready, maybe the quicker we can hold it against Jedi for not coming out.... Havent seen that guy in like 4 months....

Ya, Malibu was a blast.
I have some video, but no promises on when that'll be up.

JEDI!!! That guy's not around anymore. I heard he got some sort of computer bot software that just keeps posting for him so he could get his numbers up.

since i didnt get any responces in the competition forum:

im thinking of makeing a true 3 inch exhaust after the header with a bazooka type canister poking out from where the rear rotary currently is.

i have 2 questions.

1. can 14 guage aluminized steel handle the rotarys heat?
2. the reason im cutting a hole in my bumper is because i wanted to avoid all those bends just to make it exit the side. is 3 inch piping too much for an NA car?

i have another question now, should i just buy the turbo XS mid pipe and build from there?

well, im speaking from fc3s terms... but im probubly the only one w/ experience in this field(having custom exhausts done)... my last exhaust on my fc was a 3" from the catalytic coverters back..... now there really is no gain to using such big piping except for the noise... its quite loud (thats what i wanted)...

and to be honest, the bends in exhaust do not hurt anything, they actually help (ever so slightly) w/ backpressure....and a slight muffle in noise.... there is absoulutely no loss of power by having bends in exhausts....

now i want to make this absolutely clear... rotaries are VERY loud when allowed to be, and the exhaust your describing will be amazingly loud! theres a reason there is such a big muffler on stock rx8's! and 2 big mufflers on the aftermarkets..... its to keep the noise down to tolerable levels
