no, car wasnt repainted, its just a darker orange indoors! BUT, for some reason, the color darkens after a month of being painted.... so it is darker than when you all saw it.... lol, just ask casey.... his blue rx7 was like a dull ugly blue when it was first painted, but after a few wekks, it was a gorgeous midnight blue

that's pretty cool. thanks Cesar!

well I got to drive my car today to work! :woot: man the starter sure sounds a lot better now with the new battery! it has never sounded like that. ALWAYS sounded like it was dragging. now it sounds like a real starter should.
car stunk of burning dust when I started it. you know that smell you smell in the heater when you turn it on for the first time of the year...... yeah like that!
also kicked some of the tow out of it. so I should not KILL the tires as bad. (although the camber is still going to destroy them)

Open up the plastic cover. Make sure they installed it correctly.

It's not suppose to block the opening for the air duct.

The air needs to enter and circulate.

The battery may be installed too far up front.

Easy enough to fix your self.

YES this is a big deal you live in the desert.

Extremely hot in Inland Empire.

hey guys... unfortunately, am going to sit out this month's meet... just finished a 2nd app't to get the rock chips professionally filled/ polished at Eckles Auto Body in Whittier. (Great shop, btw- they are super nice & did awesome work.) i also installed the button screws for the nose mask this afternoon, but was surprised at how ugly and awkward they are in comparison to the stock plastic screws. anyhow. i really want to go to the meet, but i think it's a good idea to let the paint/ polish settle in a bit first before washing/ waxing. so, don't have too much fun w/o me. and, see u guys next month, and in malibu too, if that happens as well. cheers!

I would have gone if I were in town. Hope you guys had fun. I'm pretty sure you did. Now to my question.

I'm out of town for the month. I have a friend staying at my house and was wondering if I should have her drive my car. It's already been over a week. Last time I didn't drive my car for a month it didn't start. I had it towed, and the starter and spark plugs were replace. I don't want to come home to a car that won't start again, but she's a bit nervous to drive it. Maybe just to the store but I always gun it to over 6000 rpms and I'm not sure how she'd feel about this. Anyway, should I have her drive it or should it start after a month of no driving since the starter and spark plugs were replaced?

And didn't anyone take pictures of your meet? I wanna see!

tattoo> wow, nice artwork jess...

batter> my battery just ran dead the other day also, but it was because i forgot to fully slam the trunk shut. (the trunk light staying on for a week drained the battery.) i think if your friend just starts up the car once a week and lets it idle for about 5-15 minutes that should be enough to charge the battery- so long as there is nothing draining it like an open door or unclosed trunk. u can also get a battery starter- it's a small device that u hook up to jump start the car if the battery ever goes dead. (i'm thinking of getting one too after seeing AAA use it to jump start mine- since a jump from another vehicle isn't always convenient.)

meet> guess either no one showed up or no one took any pix...
