just got back from the shop... my car is coming together nicely..... due date is still this friday but now what we are gonna do, is im taking the car, and driving it for a week (to get the 500 miles racked on) and then dropping it back off.... that way he can retune it for boost, and fix/modify anything that needs to be.... right now its, 99% that shes gonna be there for ss9..... come on 1%.... go away!

i talked to the guys at the mazda dealer in al-bama. they said my goodies should be here sat. no - ups- coming usp. cheaper and faster they said. i just hope the parts get here in one piece.

Did you mean the FCC...cause the FDC (Federal Department of Canines) did call this morning and woke me up, asking me questions about pictures of dogs dancing or something. I had no clue what they were talking about. I denied everything.

Just got back home from picking up those towels at Keith's house and I had a CLOSE CALL!! I was heading down Baseline towards the 15 when I suddenly look up and there's a motorcyle cop pulled over on the right and he's reaching for his radar gun!! I looked down and saw that I was doing 58 mph and I thought I was screwed.
I hit the brakes on as quickly as I could as I see him point the radar gun right at me!!

A few seconds later he's got his light flashing and he's pulling out of his hiding spot and pulling over the car BEHIND me!!

Talk about dodging a bullet...

 

Yup, he's there most morning, especially during the morning school rush. He's always on the right side, across from the school. I've seen him so many times, he has trained me to slow down at that point. I have given a couple of people speeding tickets at that spot...cause people want to race me...so I do, but I let them win at that spot. I slow down, they win, and they get a speeding ticket...fun.

ok.. we need to get the caravan info for ss9 up and running..... we need times to meet and locations to meet... when we get it all, ill start a caravan thread on the rx7 forum.....

locations...

1st stop ...... pirate city tattoo (168 south E street, san bernardino ca 92401)

2nd stop...... am/pm in ontario (i think thats what gas station it is) (need address)

what time did we meet last year? i know it was like 5-5:30'ish

 

am/pm is off the 4th Street exit on the 15. The gas station is on the east side of the 15.

Cesar is volunteering for SS again, so he will be able to give us a suggestion of what time to show up. We can work backwards from there to figure out the am/pm meet time. I would estimate 45 minutes to get to Irvine headquarters.

i may have my doughter with me for this next meet so i may not go on a run but i think i will show up...things are still in the air but i wanted to see jesses car. I will let you know what i am up to kevin but i am for sure going to the D1 event early maybe like 3ish. as for SS9 i havent really thought abotut eh happening yet except for i have stuff i want to do to my car and i hve to finish those first.

 

Just an FYI for all of you planning on going to the D1 event on Saturday .....Doors open at 2 but the actual even doesn't start until 6:30 (which is helpful for those of us on a time crunch - like me! )
