I think they zinc coat everything but the face of the rotors where the pads touch.
My hubs on the new rotors where zinc coated, but they don't coat any of the face, that's where the 0.5" ring-o-rust forms.

I saw that post about 10mins ago. I bought them from DPE. I paid $10 more than that sale price.
It wasn't the listed price, but I emailed him and told him the eBay price so he came down a little.
Glad you saw that, I was going to let you know about it.

I had mine up and suggested that Cesar change his while he is in the process of selling his speakers. I assume, since he changed it back to the D1 Avitar, that his speakers sold.

As for the change in mine, I am in the process of selling parts from my stock rear bumper. I've sold the rear rotary accent, the two exhaust shrouds, and am down to the rear aero flares. Once those sell, I am changing it back to my D1 avatar.....

Cesar...Just give me a call...I should be down the street from you on Saturday...just playing PS2 all day with Speed...as for Sunday.....Speed and I are going to race with the San Berdardino (EDIT: San Diego boys) boys in the morning. We'll probably be back at my house around 3:00.

My guess is you went with the new Greddy SP2....I know you're gonna make Speed jeolous if you did. I love the sound of that exhaust...now that I am getting used to Snowfl8k's HKS exhaust...but it was a little loud for my taste back when I was first looking for my car. Anxious to see what you got.

Kwescott, makes sence.....hury up ad sell your stuff.

Cesar... Sweet avi! I feel better now.

Kwescott, I think we will be back before 3:00 I bet we are back by 1:00 or so... dont you think? and we are running witht he San Diego boys, not the San Bernardino guys.... we are the San Bernardino boys.

Cesar, Yes I would be jacking up your car and stealing your Greddy SP2 Exhaust if that is what you got.

I checked their website and they don't list it there either. I paid about $230 for all 4 drilled/slotted. Here's some pics on my thread for my car.

Post #13 has the newer rotors.

You can probably go with any set on eBay. They don't really vary that much in quality. Just pick a seller that has good feedback. There is a good selection to choose from as far as appearance.

Also, I didn't do this, but it's recommended.

If you buy a new set, on the face of the rotor where the pads make contact, there is a ring (about 1/2 inch) nearest to the center hub, that the pads do not cover.
This ring tends to get rust on it anyways. Check you OEM rotors and I'm sure you'll see what I'm talking about.
Anyways, you should use some kind of coating on that section. You can use clear brake rotor paint. If you overspray a little onto the face, it won't really matter since the brakes will rub it off anyways.

If you're installing these yourself, you may need a special impact screwdriver to remove the front rotors. Let me know if you're doing it. It's not that expensive to buy, or if you're local, you can borrow mine.

BTW - Speeddemon32 also has aftermarker rotors drilled/slotted, but they were a gift and he doesn't know where they came from. I already asked when I was shopping for mine.

We are going to Malibu next Saturday (August 5th). We are meeting up at Beryl Park in Rancho Cucamonga at 8:30...leaving at 8:45. We are then driving down to Malibu to meet up at 10:00 for the last Malibu cruise.

This will be replacing the usuall second Satuurday meet...given that it is the last Malibu meet.

Lesper - I see why you did the WaMu search, that Beryl Park is a pain to find an address for.
I had to go to Rancho Cucamonga's park site, and their website was even screwed up.
Anyways, finally found an address.

6501 Carnelian St, Rancho Cucamonga, CA

well, i went looking around for some prices on tires for my new wheels... OUCH! most quotes were between 600-750 for just the tires..... then i went on ebay and found both sizes i needed for $350 ... plus the guy is in moreno valley, so hopefully if i buy them, i can just go get em' they are nexen's w/ a treadwear of 340 (so no autocrossing on these) it would be like a slip-n-slide ... so we'll see

tire sizes F 225/40zr18
R 265/35zr18

Just got my email confirmation of my exhaust shipping out.
It's going by UPS ground and should arrive on Aug 4th.
That means I'll be up Friday night installing my new toy!!!
