With the AutoCross Practice on Saturday....whose actually going to be at the meet?

 

Well , I was planning on going on saturday. Pirate city tattoo is my destination. Hopefully I will see a couple other RX's there. Then a nice little drive through the hills, with a final destination of the raceway in fontana. (that is where the practice is , right?)

So to answer your question

1. Beagle

 

Saturday and Sunday, we will be at the Speedway in Fontana. Saturday, pretty much all day since it is a practice. Cool for ride alongs.

Sunday, we will be down there between 1130-200 (most likely)...no ride alongs. but you can always hang out with us in the "pits" or take some pics as we try to beat up each other.

 

I was planning on going but if theres only a few cars for the cruz I don't think it worth coming as I have a 2 hour drive each way...

 

well i'll be there to meet up with loren. if there is a run and its more then five cars i'm game . if not then i'm off to the race way to watch some spin outs..

 

save yourself a half hour each way by just going to the speedway. Just a suggestion....

well, wasnt able to get the wheel bearings on last night.... it was 40 degrees out.. too damn cold for me so i think ill just have the shop thats dynoing my car, install the wheel bearings afterwards... im just scared to death that this guy who is supposed to show up on friday to tune my car doesnt show..... then ill be up **** creek without a paddle!

I Can Lead Up The 15 To Teh Back Side Of Crestline? And Back Down In Reverse, Just Not The San Bernardino Side.

 

does anyone know if the 15 south is still closed off & under construction?

if it is, maybe we could do the run in reverse for a change- ie take the 215 north, exit at the gas station heading east, take the canyon road to crestline, go downhill on the freeway, and then finish back at pirates before going to fontana- which is off the 10 right?

we have done that run before, sposed to be snow dusts in crestline tomorrow sometime. I think the freeway was closed last weekend but should be fine this weeekend i migth see a sign tomorrow night while i am out.

 

SNOW....it was snowing in Fontana this morning, at my house. Yes, snow....and it was sticking. Got some pics before I left for work, but I so wanted to take the car out and get some pics at my normal telephone line location. There was a blanket of snow in all the wine vinyards around the house....it was an amazing site.

This means two things....there will be plenty of snow up in Crestline, so you'll be able to take some really nice pictures....get lots of them cause we do have the 2008 calendar to think about....but it also means that you guys are going to need to drive really slow...and maybe think about avoiding the whole Cajon pass area. Maybe go up to Crestline from Pirate, and then return back the same way you came.

If you go through Crestline and end up around "Jill's Corner" and the 15, you may find snow and icy freeways.

I really, really, really want to go on Saturday (because it's been too long since I've seen most of you or even gone for a fun drive) but I'm a little nervous about the weather.

I got your PM yesterday and I'm trying to see what I can do about getting those toys for you. Unfortunately I can't pick it up tonight but probably some time this weekend and I can UPS it to ya.
