Painted rotors? Like the center part that is grey, or were you referring to painting the break calipers?

Jordanjerome....take down my cell. I will be leading the group on the run. (714)8097602. We will be leaving Pirate City Tattoo at 10...and should be done with the run...and be at the speedway by 12:30. I need to be at the speedway, but have committed myself to leading the cruise in the morning.

Track practice days are the only chance you'll have to sit in a car while it "competes". On sunday, no passengers are allowed for the actual events. You won't be able to drive your car, as registration is already closed, but we'll have plenty of seats available for you, and everyone else, to ride along.

I went to one event, and one practice day before I was hooked. Definately the best thing to do with the car...that I know of anyways.

Some of the other guys do the bigger tracks...like Razz1, Ghost...you'll probably see one or both of them if you have questions about those track days/opportunities.

any volunteers?

It would greatly reduce the stress I am gaining about spreading myself thin this weekend. It anyone else is willing to lead the group on the Crestline run, and then back down to the speedway, it would be greatly appreciated.

Keith - if you need to be at the track, then go to the track. Let us sort out the details of the run. I am sure someone will step up to lead the pack.
You should be more worried about missing the food. You need to work on getting somebody to bring you all lunch at the track.

Scremn: did you see the thread where the guy tried painting his calipers blue and got FLAMED because they were almost a pastel color?!
I'm sure there's gotta be a darker blue out there but Winning Blue won't be easy to match.

How about painting the rotors silver and the calipers BLACK? Put one of Polak's RX-8 decals on there (in Winning Blue of course) and you'll be all set

the rotors are already silver....I think the red calipers would look nice...I would say hammered bronze, but not with your chrome wheels.

Yeah, but the rust on the stock rotors doesn't look very good. The 07's come with them painted silver and they look really nice.

FYI - If you got the calipers powder coated, you could get an almost perfect match to the winning blue.

Toca, the auto x practice interfears with the meet. some people are going to the meet still (true die hards) and some of us will be at the auto x.

some of the poeple that will be going to the meet will then be heading over to the track after to watch us. you are welcome to come do either.

Hey speed, I just got told today that we are not due to arrive back there until like maybe 1800 hours or 6pm, forgive me I always use military terms. So unfortunate for me I will not be able to cruise or meet any of you cool 8 owners. But hey I guess overall the good news is I am coming home. Unless you have another one this month it looks like it wont be until next month. I will however still be picking everyones brains about mods for my 8. Later
