1st Thought: Go to sleep....
2nd Thought: They're definitely not MY stlye but I know you've been looking for something similar and they're DEFINITELY priced right! Jump on those quick, they'd look sweet on your car!

i think they look nice... but, beauty is in the eye of the beholder- ie what only matters is whether u like them or not.

good to hear...i like the wheel but i am set on another style and smaller. Personally i dont want to buy them jsut to be contempt, i feel as if they are a place holder for some time period. have to think good and hard about this....unless someone beats me to it.

they are 19's, Volks, same size (not staggered), black, close (in San Diego so no shipping),and price is right (2500 including tires....I paid 3700).

You would also have your stock wheels/tires, so if you wanted to autocross...This is perfect for you man. 18 inch time attacks would be nice...but you'll end up paying more for something that is more trendy. Stick with traditional styling and you'll be happier for a longer period of time.

Also, last thought...the time attacks look good on aggressive cars. The SF winnings would look good on your car now...and when you get additional mods.

Ok, one more thought...get em.

Lesper: If you are set on another style then do NOT buy these because you'll have regrets down the road, trust me.

On my last car, I settled for a certain type of speaker (when I installed a full system) and every time I got in my car I hated the fact that I hadn't held out for what I really wanted. 2 months later I was tearing the door panels off and putting in the speakers I originally wanted.

That was on a pair of $150 speakers....imagine what it will be like on $2500 wheels!

Michael, you jump on these rims then....black wheels would look awsome with your WB "winged blue" (no longer winning blue, but winged blue). 2500, local pickup, and the dude is giving you two sets of tires....this is a no brainer for those who have to cash.

Loren: can you put up a picture of the wheels you'd been looking at before? (time attacks)
Wanna compare those to the ones that guy is selling

Dropped the RX-8 off today for the recall.

getting the recall done, plus the left rear tailight replaced. the headlights are getting looked at as I complained about the "film" on them. and I complained about a smell of rotten eggs in the mornings. (usually catalitic converter)... oh yeah and the defrost button is cracked in half.

so we will see what gets done later today.

well just got a call from the Mazda dealer.

the recal was done. I belive they replaced the spark plugs (will find out for sure when I pick it up), and they reflashed it and tested the cat. all was fine (just as suspected)

the headlights require a phone call to the head Mazda guy there (he is out). "it looks like something got on your headlights". I told them that I brought the car in a couple years ago when I first got the car for the same reason. it has been like that since the day I baught the car. the first time I brought the car in they tried telling me it was tree sap. I just let it go. he said he will find out what they want to do about it tomorrow.... so we will see.

the taillight was not replaced because it "looks like it has dried out" and they cant get it to fog back up. I told them that it has been foged up for that it has been fogged up for the last four days and I have a picture of it all fogged up if they would like to see it. so I am to take the picture down there tomorrow.

the defrost button was supposed to be fixed the last time I took the car in but they had to order the part. I never took it back when they finnaly got the part in. I was hoping to get it fixed this time, but once again they need to order the part. odds are I will not take it in again omce the part comes in. :/

the rotten egg smell they were unalbe to reproduce even though I told them it only happens on initial startup (like in the morning)... well duh. all well, they tested the cat, and it passed so I guess I have nothing to complain about..... BESIDES THE ROTTON EGG SMELL.

.... well I think thats it. out of everything I wanted to get done the only thing they accually did was the recal that they HAD to do. I will find out more tomorrow. I hate leaving my car there..... this sucks!

I also took a picture with y camera phone when I droped it off so that they cant say "that dent was there when you brought it in."

my car does not have one scratch or one ding or dent.... it better stay that way!

I hope the camera phone pic turns out well if I need it.

EDIT:

here are the pics.

thanks!

I was not worried about the recall. the car runs fine. the only issue is the smell in the mornings.
and besides. I am allways willing to accept a new engine.

it is yellow roll bar (for race cars) foam. (much like swimming pool noodles. just more dense and a bigger inside diamiter.)

the blue was hard to see, and IF someone were to bump into it, it's nice to know that there is at least a little bit of coushin there.

Sweet looking house, Casey! While it's still new, you might consider sealing the concrete in the garage. It makes oil cleanup a breeze.
