Xrider, no problem.

Jedi, damn dude. thats odd. I have never had a caliper bold fall out before. at leat you still had the bottom one, **** would have hiit the fan if you did not have the bottom one in also.
if that caliper had come off the rotor, you would have lost ALL brakes, not just that one. (youir e-brake would still have worked)
glad to see all is well.

I would **** and moan like crazy. get yourself a free oil change or two for your hassel.

Keith. sway bar make a differance?

yup, front sway bar took the squirrel out of the rear. Nice as pie now.

Attention all MS wing owners on this thread. Look what I found from FEED.

Jedi, did you remove your caliper when you painted them?

Jason:
Good catch! oops... I fixed the post

Keith:
Yes, I removed them but had the dealership inspect my work the following morning and adjust the brakes if necessary. Can we say, "CYA"?

(I now have an invoice showing that the dealership inspected the brakes after I painted my calipers...translation: Jedi is not liable for what happened, Mazda is)

I'm honestly not too worried about pointing fingers, I'm pretty certain that my dealership will repair it under warranty.
What I'm really thankful for today is that no one was hurt. My girlfriend was riding shotgun for yesterday's cruise...

link us to your cruise pics when they are up. How many 8's, 7's were on the run, and how were things. Worth the drive?

Absolutely worth the drive!
All my pictures are at my girlfriend's house so I'll try and post those tonight.

Because I joined the caravan a bit late, I wasn't able to get an official head count. The 8's were outnumbered by the 7's but it was still cool. We had 1 gen's, 2nd gen's and even a few 3rd gen's. (some twin turbo, and one with 1 BIG *** turbo!) Oh, and even a Supra bringing up the rear.

According to one of the organizers at lunch: headcount was somewhere near 50 cars (including an RX-3 and a Rotary pick up that showed up to wish us well)

wow, thats deep stuff for the dealership...

one of my buddies had a BMW 3 series, and he was telling me that he was driving on the freeway, and all of the sudden his passenger airbag went off. he contaced BMW headquarters, and BMW headquarters took his car back, gave him and M5 and $9,000 because they didnt want to deal with the legal stuff my friend could have claimed against bmw.

you might be in the same situation, because if the technicians inspected your brakes, there is NO REASON the brakes would fall appart like that... unless someone loosend the bolt

like i said before, fortunatly no lives were lost over such a minor thing

Vipers,
Where'd you go paintballing? Is that SC village I see in the background?

Can't get a good view of your marker but is that the famous "egg" hopper I see?

Vipers: Very cool bro! I'm running the same egg hopper on my Autococker and my Angel markers. Been waaayyyy too long since I've gone paintballing though.
I was really bummed out when Tombstone paintball closed a few months back...

How often do you go paintballing?

yeah, it is the only time I wish I had Titanium 2 free MS bumpers...come on. Krazie, jump on this man. I feel bad for Toca, Lesper for Jedi (I'm sure they would jump on a MS bumper)....anyone for that fact, a FREE MS bumper....ahhh. I was offering him Snowfl8k's white bumper... one white bumper for two MS bumpers. Would have been a nice trade
