Once a month meeting near San Bernardino
well, guys... i've decided that i love this car too much to give up w/o a fight. so, as grim as my luck has been as of late, i feel like i have to look forward optimistically and at least try...
so, i'm going to bite the ($1,600) bullet & have www.Safelightglass.com replace my front, rear, and rt passenger side window this thursday. (Jorge sharing his windshield experience gave me some confidence that a decent auto glass vendor ought to able to do a flawless job.) and, after that, i'll see what can be done about the water spots- be it recruiting more help from Jun, u guys, or in the last resort paying the auto detailer guy $800 to do a 10-hour workover on it.
with property taxes and another boatload of expenses coming up in march/ april, this is definitely a chunk of money i didn't budget for. (hey, i haven't even had a chance to do any mods yet!) and, i'm not looking for perfection- just some sort of happy medium that i feel i can live with.
so, please let me know if u guys have any other advice/ suggestions. and, i hope i can break out of the jinx of bad luck and not create more problems in this round of repairs.
thanks,
gerry

thanks Jun. i definitely look forward & appreciate your help when u have the time.
and, i'll never believe the BS the dealer tells me ever again without at least consulting you guys first. (i'm such an idiot.) but, better late then never.

Maybe she'll treat you better
hope so...
i've been so good about saving & trying to pay the car off first. and, that's why all these cosmetic mishaps hurt so much.
well, once i get the car back in shape & also get thru tax season, hopefully i can take a breather and start looking at some mods...
i hope i can get her back in shape smoothly without additional issues.

you should hear the RB exhaust when three or more cars are running the same rpm

Hey Jedi I look online and will be ordering the RB exhaust, Intake, revi air ram. Soon as I get it I will need some help installing it. Total its going to cost $1106 and some change, is that about right?
jorda: who are you ordering it from? www.mazdaparts.com is a great source, that's where I got mine from. Did you sign up and request "gold member" status? Tell them I sent you and he'll hook you up.

Jordan, have you considered other exhausts, or are you set on a full RB setup?
on a side-note... i talked to MNA today. and, they basically said that they can't do anything to help w/ my situation w/ Alhambra Mazda. they claim each dealership is independently owned/ operated. so, if a dealer gave me bad advice that i need to take it up w/ that dealer- even tho i told them already the dealer basically denied everything after-the-fact. i inquired about MNA's oversight over their dealers- since the dealers represent them- and they basically said it's out of their hands, and told me to f off basically.
u know, it's times like these when i really wish i had got the z4 instead of the 8. u really do get what u pay for. bmw dealerships are snobby when it comes to sales- yes. but, once u become an owner, they bend over backwards to take care of their customers. their service dept would never pull this kinda BS. over the past 8 years, i've been to 3 different bmw dealers for service (assael, new century, and beverly hills), and i have to say that the consistency of their quality of service is top notch no matter which dealer u step foot into.
i dunno if i ever want to own another mazda again, given this rotten experience. i don't think mazda really cares about their customers. anyone can sell u a car. but, to make u wanna come back again is an entirely different story.

Sorry, this is Off-topic. (I love saying that in this thread)
Some of you may or may not know, I'm going to Chile in March to see Deanna's family.
Anyways, I'm a techie and I need to have use of a cell phone while I'm there.
I have Verizon service, so that phone won't work in Chile.
I was wondering if anyone has old phones from Cingular/T-Mobile or any phone w/ a SIM card that they don't use anymore.
Maybe I can borrow them from you and then I can just buy a SIM card to save some money.
If you have one or two to choose from, that I can borrow, let me know.
I need to know the model and make of the phone, because not all GSM phones will work in Chile.
They need to have band GSM 1900, but I can look it up by model #.
Thanks.

It's the dealers fault and it's your fault. You listened so you have to take part of the blame.
In fact if you used the razor blade correctly, you wouldn't have this problem.
Just because someone tells you how to do something, doesn't mean you can do it. That's where skill and experience comes into play.
I hate it when people don't take resposibility for their own actions.
Stop bashing Mazda. You scratched it.
