haha!!! I was wondering who would notice that first! Lesper gets 10 points.

You guys are missing out on ALL THE FUN!!! Today is "International Jackatar Day". You basically get to steal someone's avatar and pretend to be them for the day...
Here's the thread about it, it's HONESTLY the FUNNIEST thread I've seen on here in a LONG time!

https://www.rx8club.com/lounge-4/international-jackatar-day-109707/

Hmm, now whose avatar to steal next....

Jessie, I think my buy off now, is closer to 24 k.....I know you have always liked my car, it has all the stuff done to it, so it can autocross the next day...let me know when you have a buyer for your 7, and if you can float a loan, and are interested in my car.

But, for 24k, you could probably get a brand new base model....which is probably the way I would go, that way, you could make all the customizations yourself since we probably have slightly different styles.

i just might try that.... hell, ive said it a million times.. you have the best looking rx8 EVER! id be a kid in a candy store if i owned it the only problem i see is w/ my protege..... if i buy from a dealer, i can trade in my pro5 in, and they will do all the pay off stuff..... if i bought yours, id still have another car im financing... and i 100% wouldnt be able to get a loan while financing another car... thats the only perk of buying from a dealer vs. private party..... but if we could find away around all of this, im definently open to the idea

Vipers - I have people. This is what I have done for way too many years. If you need a loan, let me know.
Sometimes you do not need to sell your car to get another car. Depending on credit and income, you may be able to keep both
What do you owe on your protoge? Will the sale of the FC be able to cover it? And leave enough for a small down payment? (tax and title) Trading in a car is not a very good idea. ( dealers will try to rape you, I know cuz i do it every day. )

KWES - You for sure have an amazing car. I was thinking that to myself following you down the hill the other day. ( it's the wheels! they complete the package )If you are looking to get rid of it, I would need to know your details. ( milage, year and factory/aftermarket options ) I have a couple banks I deal with on a regular basis that may be able to get 100% financing on your car, depending on book value.

But!!!! - I bought my base model for under $20,000. ( going out of business sale )

Let me know if you want me to look in to it for you.

Edit -

Hope the link works. Right now ford will buy it at 100% for a used car, and Altura CU will go 100% +++ ( Tax Title License ). These are both private party assuming decent (580) credit scores.

nothing towards keiths car it looks great but i think it will be easier on viper to get a new car (no milage) with some payments then start with a used car. mayeb you coudl get a dfeal if you and KK got 8's from the the same delaership?

I dont know who brought it up...cause all this avatar jacking has me confused as to who is saying what....but, one of the problems Jessie has is that he cant prove income....this was a problem in the purchase of the protege, when he initially went in to buy an 8. They wouldn't finance him for an 8, but would for the P5....and then they totally raped him on the finance charge. I think he was paying something like 22% or something rediculous.

Maybe with that payment history, he could qualify for a better loan.

As for listing the options and things on the car, don't have enough space. Go ahead and see what KBB is for a GT with 65,000 miles. Go ahead and add all the options you have on your car to get a ball park starting point. Aftermarket stuff never retains it value at sell anyways.

But I do agree, that buying a new base model is the best way to go. That is what I would do, if I had it to do over again....so many of the things I originally paid for, are no longer on the vehicle, and now that I autocross, I wish I had the lighter base model....

If you would have SEARCHED, you would have KNOWN that the base model was the way to go for AutoCross!!! noob!

Again, 100% of KBB can be financed as long as the car is less than 5 years old with fewer than 80,000 miles.

Vipers - if you have any trouble getting a loan, let me know. there are several banks that will use different types of proof for showing income. Best bet is to call your current company that your mazda is through ( probably FMCC or MAC ) and ask them about a new loan.

I remember telling Jessie that my credit cards had lower interest charges than his car loan. Of course, my cards have 8.9 and 10.9%....it was amazing to see what his car payment was, when I figured out how much it would have been at those rates, compared to what he was paying. Half the monthly, and I think it was 14 months quicker to payoff.
