Awesome meet today everyone! Thanks to everyone that made it.
The new run (up SB Nat'l Forest) was totally worth the extra distance and was one of the funnest I think we've done so far. Didn't take as many pictures as I had hoped. But, here they are...

well, alot of work got done today on the rx.... thanks again keith for all your help! we crunched on it from 11am to 8pm, and got the motor in right around 7:30... alot of things needed to be wrapped up before the engine could be installed....
heres a few pics for all your viewing pleasures ill post some tomarrow of it installed(since it was dark when we finished)

Awesome pictures Jesse. Can't wait to see you get your 7 running and cruising! And, thanks for opening your home and sharing the progress on your car with us... I'm the first to admit that I'm all thumbs when it comes to engines & installing things. <LOL> I've spent countless hours watching my friends work on their FDs over the years. But, sadly the most help I was was getting tools, holding stuff up, or pointing a light somewhere... <LOL> I know, very sad. Well, I guess at least it got me into rotaries...
That reminds me- Brad & Crystal (and their dog Duke) have a Winning Blue 8... But, we haven't seen them in the last couple of meets. Then again, we haven't seen Spice Boy or Jorge either...
Regardless tho- yah, hurry up training them so you can come next month!

I'm dentless now
We ran into a paintless dent removal guy on our last cruise and he was able to come to Jessie's house on Sunday while we were working on his 7. Well worth the money to get my fender back in shape...I'm very happy. I got all the other dings taken out as well...it's like starting all over with a brand new car again.

That's awesome Keith!! (or should I call you Mike Hancho??)
I'm gonna try and make a meet really soon....it's been too long since I've gotten out and really driven my car.
How was that new route you guys took?

new route was great...too bad we had a few who needed to leave early, cause I really would have liked to go further down the road. Traffic was really light, comparative to our other destinations...so that was a real plus. The road was curvy, and very predictable. Made for a safe enjoyable cruise.

Can't wait to go for a drive on it...Who discovered the route?
I think Jesse and Casey drove it together once?
But, yah- this route was SUPER fun & twisty with surprisingly good visibility. If it weren't for the other traffic on the road, I actually wish we could've gone even faster... Hahahaha. (Oops, did I say that out loud?)
Well, that, and my female passenger was screaming all the way up & all the way down... (Will have to leave her at home next time... <LOL>)

Well, that, and my female passenger was screaming all the way up & all the way down... (Will have to leave her at home next time... <LOL>)the trip up there was pretty slow. I to wish we could have gone a little faster. the trip down I found fun toards the end. we kept catching up to cars though. at least they were nice enough to let us go after a few turns.
those damn little 225 hard street tires suck. on a few of the turns I was starting to push a little hard for those crap tires. (by push I mean I still had full controll of the car, just could tell that they were nearing the limit of the crapy tires.)
Keith, that is AWSOME! I am happy for you. I know you are happy. you have one of the best looking 8's out of all of us. I know those dents bothered you. I bet that is a great feeling, almost like having a new car. how much was it? arent you glad I went over and talked to him and showed him your car?
I found a little dent on my car that day, I thought that was funny that we found him. I asked if he can remove it, he is not sure. (it is on the rocker) (almost 2 years old and she got her first dent
at least it is a very small one)
