Lesper, yeah that is a cool picture. to bad your car was not in it. all well I am sure you wil get more pictures at THIS MONTHS MEET COMING UP THIS SATURDAY

Vipers, as pretty much everyone else has stated everything you got is fine. I know what you need the computer for and it will work just fine.

256 mb v card is fine but of course your true die hard gamer will go for the biggest and baddest card they can. but you really dont need anything to insane. is it AGP or PCI? 256mb DDR? (i think pretty much most new cards are all DDR now) I am sure you will enjoy watching the video's we take from THIS MONTHS MEET COMING UP THIS SATURDAY on your new Video card!

200G.B. HD is pretty cool. (mine is 100gb for the vids/pics, and 20g.b. for the O.S. and programs.) you know how much stuff I have on my computer, and I have filled maybe 80 gigs of that 100. It will be a long time before you fill 200 gigs. I am sure you can get lots of pictures from THIS MONTHS MEET COMING UP THIS SATURDAY on your computer with that bad boy!

19" monitors kick butt! I dont care for LCD's as weird as that sounds. the colors just dont seem as nice to me...... in fact not even close. my LCD's here at work wash everything out. BIG BIG differance when I go from all the flat screens here at work (IBM, Dell, Compaq, and veiwsonic) to when I go home and see my 17" CRT (veiwsonic) but I am sure you will love it! 19" monitor gives you plenty of veiwing space to talk on this thread for THIS MONTHS MEET COMING UP THIS SATURDAY

anyways, still no Koni's yet. I really wanted the new Koni's for THIS MONTHS MEET COMING UP THIS SATURDAY also for the auto cross comming up on Sunday.

if you click post reply, in there, there is an attachments button...... just add the pictures that way.

the guy that sold me my RX-8 baught an RX-8. he will be comming to our meet. I think he is bringing a friend also. but the friend does not have a rotary. I asked that the friend stay in the back, and stay out of the pictures.

Got it.
Okay so I wanted to post a few nature shots of my own. Lesper, you seem to like those.

ARGH WHATEVER. I guess you can only upload pictures from your computer. But I've already got them uploaded on my host page... arghads;kajasa

Vipers,
Sounds like a pretty sweet setup on your computer. Hopefully you got an AGP video card and your mother board is capable of handling the speed. Is it 8x agp? 1 gig of ram is usually the magic number for that kind of setup. How much did the monitor set you back?
I'm getting ready to upgrade some of the components in my computer and a new flat screen monitor is definitely on my list...

But IF I find a sitter I was planning on staying in the back to make sure I didn't hold anyone up.

Also I need an oil change and my brakes are squeaking....do you all use the dealer only or is there a place around here I could use for a quick fix tomorrow? I don't feel like spending all day at a dealership.

Zoo,

Depending on your VIN, you might be able to get the dealership to replace your pads for free:

i got my brakes replaced by the dealership with only 15K miles on the car... at first, they wanted to charge me aprox. $300 to replace them, but i told them that thats bogus, and brakes should last more than 15K miles. they talk to their service manager, and he said there there was a bulliten on brakes for some 8s and they replaced them for me. front rotors and pads.

i guess the question i wanna ask, is how many miles do you have on your car right now?

jesse, nice video card, good sized hard drive~

regarding the LCD (its big), if you are going to be doing any 'high end' gaming i.e fast paced first person shooters, you may experience some 'choppyness' when running really fast in the game etc.

the reason is because MOST LCDs do not have a fast refresh rate. the smaller the refreash rate, the less choppy the game will be..

and for those of you who havent purchased your upgrades yet, i sell computer stuff. if you have a certain model number of a product, i usually can beat any price (BEFORE REBATES) unless the product is discontinued, then i might not be able to match/beat the price.

ceasAr, try Ritz Camera for your flash card. i think they do price matching...

lol....all this talk about computers makes me want to be in the convo all of a sudden .

oh, and KK, remember, all AMD 939 boards support all 939 processors from the 3000+ all the way to the AMD FX-60

- for those of you wanting a price range on just the chip, it's anywhere from $135 to around $1,200 just for the chip depending on which one you get

$.02 - Try Newegg.com

When I built my pc, the parts I wanted where slightly cheaper from Newegg.com than TigerDirect.

do you have a certain type of motherboard inmind, or are you looking for something that'll just get you by?

what type/model of sound card?

When it comes to the motherboard, I just want something that can handle 8x agp, has a farily fast fsb, and can hold a 1 gig or 2 of ram.
The soundcard I have now is a few years old but it is capable of handling my 5.1 surround sound so I'm not sure if I will replace it or not...

I'm wondering how all of this has anything to do with your new turbo and engine re-build. I mean, where you gonna fit a 19'' widescreen LCD in a 7.
