on another note......i do plan on making it to this Saturday's meet. i just hope that the daylight savings time stuff doesn't mess up my sleeping schedule more than it already is =\.
Daylight savings in on April 2nd. I think he's pulling everyones leg. Besides, you change your clocks on Saturdays, not Fridays.
So, it wouldn't affect the meets.

Remember, he's a psychologist. He's probably experimenting on us and we don't even know it.

yea. what i'll probably end up doing is take some nyquil or drink a couple shots (enough to get sleepy) of rum or tequila the night before, and hopefully i'll knock out before 2am. that should be enough sleep for me.

You don't NEED to be in a club to run. You can get a temp number for the day if you want to.

heheh, read this during my lunch in Arcadia today. I was stealing free internet at the time with my work laptop sitting in my car. I tried posting a response then, but for some reason, my free internet stopped working. I had to go back inside the conference hall anyways...but I did get a chuckle when reading that.

Just messing around with you folks...but the Thursday thing was a brain fart, truely. I don't know why I posted that.

Thanks for the info on the Mazdaspeed racing hookup. I know there is a MS dealer in La Puente, right by my work...so I may have to show up late tomorrow morning to work, claiming I was having car problems and needed to stop by the dealership I'm anxious to talk to the MS parts guy to see if they are on the program..and whether paying the money to have stuff installed there would benefit me with Warranty coverage or not.

I'm pretty sure they'll only allow me four shocks, four springs and two sway bars. I may be able to get an extra set of strut bars if I can somehow manage a scheme to let them know I have the Japan version left-hand drive limited edition version that came equiped with extra mounting locations for duel strut tower bars. I'm working on it, but don't hold your breathe.

made an autocross siggy...

Is this mazdaspeed deal only for performance parts or astheic parts as well?...although I may not have money for anything if the house thing works out.

Keith not really feeling the new avatar...but it does make it different then mp5. maybe you could just flip the image or make a moving rotary symbol similar to konigs

not sure if everyone is aware but there is a group by on tein and koni sprigs if you are intrested.

Here are some picture I took of the sunset...the fire makes the colors extra vibrant

Casey, Jasons, and any other interested parties...the next SD autocross event info is up.

http://www.sdr-scca.com/solo2/schedu...art-021906.pdf

Casey, I think it would be cool to grab the two logos on the top of this flyer to make a SD magnet for...since we have Cal Club on the top of our current number plates. Do you think it would be easy to get these printed out?

MazdaSpeed and the Mazda Motorsports Racer Support Program are two very different things. If you autox there are certain items you can get and road racers get other items. Autox guys for the most part can not get body work. However if you were building a car for a class that allowed you to use body work they might help you out.

The dealers have nothing to do with the program. The last thing I would do is tell the dealer you are in the Mazda Motorsports program. When you get in the program your parts come from the warehouse not the dealers, there is a number you call at the Mazda R&D center to order parts. Your dealer will not have a clue when you ask. You can still take your parts to a dealer for install to help your warranty on your car, they wont know where you got them.

Jason, I was reading through the information last night, and it did confuse me why they suggested locating a Mazdaspeed dealer, and then how the parts were ordered online and shipped to you. I was wondering why they were leaving the dealer out of the loop, and why I couldn't just pick them up, or order them from the dealer. Found that La Puente Mazda is a Mazdaspeed dealer, and their dealership website even has a link to the Mazda Motorsports website. I guess it is easier for Mazda to control this program centrally, or you can imagine how much "under the table" type stuff may actually go on if each dealer was left to keep track of racers and their results.

After this weekend in Fontana, I will have two race results. I will sign up after that and hopefully will have my tax return for the suspension components.

Not sure why they would tell you to find a dealer.... Most of them don't have a clue about the program. You order your parts online or by phn and the ship direct to you. You can also do willcall, when I got my wing I was worried about shipping so I went to the ontario warehouse and picked it up. Dealers can not order parts from MM either... Back in the day MM use to sell a clutch kit that came with blueprinted parts for the MX6, my buddy got one and took it to the dealer for install and the dealer was mad because they could not buy the same "good" parts we can.

The one time the dealers and MM come together is when you buy a car from the program. We got a PIN code from MM to get our car at racer price. The dealer takes the pin so they get credit for the sale.
