Got hit for the third time today at work...I'm fricken tired of the hassle of trying to keep something nice, nice. Gonna get something reasonable to drive back and forth to work, and will be transfering parts over to the Snowfl8k.

I've been thinking about this a lot, just havent really thought things through....then being hit today sent me over the edge.

Gonna run it hard at the autocross on Sunday, and then hopefully sell it fast. I plan to put it up with the bodykit and RB exhaust. Everything else will come off, or be sold at replacement cost to the buyer.

Little bitter tonight, but I'll manage...and we'll (erica and I) still have one 8.

 

sux to hear. but hey, one 8 is better than none .

though, it'll be one less BB for the team.....two will be gone soon as yours is gone .

Yup, looks like we will have a smallish group of 10 for a run, and then you are more than welcome to follow those who are interested, down to the California Speedway to hang out at the auto cross practice.

Meet at Pirate Ciuty Tattoo at 9:00 or at Farmer Boys at 7:45/8:00 (if you want breakfast). I will be at Farmer Boys and will be taking those who show, to the Tattoo shop. Directions to the Tattoo shop are on the 1st page of the link.

Make sure you are there by 10:00, cause that is when we leave for the cruise. If you plan to come, you may want to send a pm to someone for their cell number, in case you get lost....

(as i recall, didn't u guys just install a new flywheel on your car last week? and, didn't u just get a rotary tat a few weeks ago also?)

wow keith..... thats just news i didnt want to hear! in all honesty, you have the best looking rx8 ive ever personally seen! dings and dents happen, its usually unavoidable, but to sell your car for it? i absoulutely wish i had money right now to buy it i wouldnt hesitate! not even for a second! this is a sad day for me and im sure an even sadder day for you!

keith, in all honesty, you are now spoiled to the 8's agressive handling performance. anything else you get will be sub-par. i know this from experience .

i too would take the car off your hands if i were in a situation that would allow me to. i'd just go down to the dealer and get me a new chrome fuel door, and say it was missing the hinge when i got it . lol

i have to ask how long you were thinking about getting rid of the 8, are the other forum members influencing you, and just the other day you were saying maybe Kumho can sponser you and you have down those mroe diffficult installs?

This sounds like a poorly thought out, emotional impulse decision.

Lets look at this:
-You just added even more mods to your car.
-You're really starting to get into Auto Cross (doing well, and really enjoying it)
-Using Erica's car to Auto Cross just won't be the same. (you know that deep down)
-Don't you have a truck in the garage that could probably work as your daily driver with a little wrench time / money put into it?
-Last but not least: You love your car. There's no denying that...it's why you try so hard to keep it looking the way you do.
