Kevin,
I was actually thinking of your car this weekend. Hope you're able to get everything worked out real soon.

Oh, and the new computer set up ROCKS!!! Thanks so much for all your help on it.

isn't fly wheel installation a big job- ie u have to lift the engine out to get to it? wow u guys are hardcore like my neighbor. he's redone his FD engine 2 or 3 times already. (once or twice, he took the entire engine apart just to polish each componet until u could see ur reflection in it.) i've come to the conclusion that he just likes working on the car more than actually driving it...

no engine removal necsesarry... lift the car, pull the tranny, install flywheel, re-install tranny (i make it seem easy, but its very tedious work doing trannys(ive done like 9 of them now) usually between 4-9 hours worth of work .... i think me and casey have nailed one in like 2-3 hours before though

Jesse's right, a lot of tedious work. Here are some pics from our second install party. Pic #3 & #4 are with the transmission removed (on the ground to the right) and you can see the clutch/pressure plate. This has to be removed first to get at the flywheel.

...Pic #5 is the stock flywheel. You can see the large nut in the middle that has to be removed. Once the nut is removed you gotta use the flywheel puller to pull the sucker off.

On Casey's install we ALMOST broke exhaust bolts, but on this one we were 100% successful So the boys had to play with Casey's jug-o-nuts to find a replacement. gh0st - feel free to use one of these as your avatar

Viper, we need to get you to make a whole new thread.....Call is something cool like "birth of one bad a$$ viper"

You could post updates and everyone could keep track of your progress.

I subsrcribed to the thread Team RX8 has made in his STU RX8 build up. It is fun to watch.

This way, your posts wouldn't get lost in this thread. Just an idea....cause I know how exciting this is for you, and how exciting it would be for other people to watch as well.
