cesar, denward, you guys interested in doing a practice day for autocross. Rick is interested in doing a practice day as long as he has some company. Rick is SPT05 on the Autocross thread. He has been competing with us this year but wants some more seat time.

You mean for the 14th right?
If that's the day, yes. The next practice is the week before SS9. I'll probably be applying another coat that weekend. (Jedi Style)

BTW - UPS Delivery of my Zaino kit is Monday 25th. Sweet!

I'll post more info tomorrow, but just so you guys know, Costco has 16"x16" Microfiber towels - 24pack $10.
I looked around a lot today. That was the best deal by far!

My car is at Redlands Mazda for the recall work.
I need help with the chant.

New Engine!...New Engine!...New Engine!...New Engine!...New Engine!

I got 51K on mine. It'd be sweet to have a new one now.

Did anyone else notice that Zoom Zoom Live is on Oct 28 & 29- ie the same weekend as SS9?

Autocrossing fun all day w/ Mazda's cars -or- look at SS9 cars all day? Hmm... Seems like a no-brainer for me... Someone convince me why I should go to SS9 again? <LOL>

First of all, Zoom Zoom Live is not autocrossing.
If fact, if you do hit a cone on a course while driving fast, you'll probably get kicked out. It's not as fun as you might think. If you go on Sunday, you'll have plenty of time to enjoy the event.
Their fast courses are 25-30sec courses, and there is a 1.5hour wait minimum.

I may go on Sunday, but only because I live so close. I wouldn't waste a day going if it was any further.

I went last year, and was sorely disappointed. The Toyota version was more entertaining.

I too was rather disapointed with zoom zoom live. the "auto cross" part of it is you driving their RX-8 at "spirited" driving levels. the course is so tight you never get any speed up. if we were autocrossing for real we would leave it in first but they make you shift to 2nd instantly. if there is nothing better to do, then go. but if you are trying to decided between SS9 and zoom zoom.... SS9 hands down without a doubt. if you are looking to auto cross, then come out to the track with us on a practice day, you will have WAY WAY WAY more fun!

Here's the info I gathered yesterday w/ regards to car stuff.
I did not go to Autozone yesterday, but I knew the prices on the Autozone items I listed.
"X" Means they don't carry it, or I didn't look.
