Can't your super awesome tuner figure it out? Apparently it's the base turbo setup you have that sucks and not the tuner
If the fuel and timing trims plus MAP corrections (i don't know if you still have a useful MAF sensor) are correct then it may be an injector issue as previously stated or just bad intake manifold valves tuning.

Are you thinking/considering it is an issue with the injectors? I'd be interested in hearing about this rumor and hearing what Turblown has to say about it.

I only know of one other customer who is having what sounds like the same issue. I know of several completed cars that do not share the issue. I am not sure what it is, but I am working with everyone and adaptronic to figure it out..

If there is an issue with the Adaptronic I am pretty positive adaptronic will fix it. They are implementing a bunch of new software upgrades that I have specifically asked for, like A) 3 sets of dead band timing fields for each individual bank of injectors, B) an automated settings to increase fuel when intake valves open and C) ability to log and see in the data window when the intake valves are open/close( not just in the preset aux output table). I am also trying to get them to write the programing to gain control of the OEM idle circuit control, amongst some other little things.

We have been talking about 20B, and FD swap programming etc..

I have never in the past dealt with an ECU company that would actually listen to end users, and make updates..

That's a pair of shoes i wouldn't want to wear. I just find it funny how people jump to conclusions and blame somebody when the problem is completely elsewhere. In this case i see a tuner x being bashed when it's the turbo kit y being a total piece of junk and almost impossible to tune without further modifications.

I spoke with adaptronics and they know of 20+ Rx-8s that are running their ecu without problems. They have done several in house on their dyno without problems( n/a, greddy turbo, and S/C).

5+ of my customers who have running cars haven't reported and issues.

I recently dyno tuned an turbo Rx-8, and didn't have any problems with the ECU/Tuning. I was unable to finish tuning however as it was apart there was engine related problems.
I did get up to 12.5 psi and 6000rpms..

Yes! If Elliot sent you a base map and you specified BHR coils the dwell table should already be updated.

I installed my (replaced) Autometer Wideband this morning and am back to having a "reliable" external source for monitoring AFRs.

Spoke with Dave shortly after I installed it and will be dropping the 8 off at the shop Wednesday night (would've liked to have dropped it off sooner but I'm -- finally -- getting the windows tinted Wednesday afternoon).

I'm giving him a solid week with the car. I'll be leaving my current MM AP map in (otherwise I lose speed limiter inhibitor) and in addition to the adaptronic will be installing my KGParts uncapped primaries and secondaries that pretty much double my injector output capacity.

Also plan on jacking in the Autometer Wideband logging output in place of the stock O2 sensor.
