Thanks for the info man, the install looks pretty straight forward and the reviews I have read about their products have been pretty good. I will talk to Kane about in September when he comes and see if he thinks it could benefit my car. We have a couple of boost builds coming up so if this ends up being a good product then that would work out great.

Nothing worse than teething pains and pissing around though I went through a lot of this with the Haltech. Never did get it running like they said it would. It was nice to tune with....but never did work properly

This sounds a bit better...at least the support seems to be there

Can't say that Haltech was that friendly

can you pm me a bit more on how you got around the SSV? I know we have mine set to open really low, then we tried all over the rpm range with no real luck....thats all that is holding me back from my max power of the 6 port & I'll call it a garage build since I will not give credit to the company that put this kit together, since all i used was the turbo and a few scraps from it!

We literally bypassed the Adaptronic for the SSV labled wires using the Adaptronic wiring diagram and the Mazda workshop manual as sources. Snip Snip coming into the Adaptronic, add a little extra wire for good measure, and splice back into the factory harness post Adaptronic.

I can get the actual pins and factory loom wires if necessary.

Sure thing Elliot! Picked her up today. Really disappointed with my turbo... takes a ton of boost to generate any reasonable amount of power.... but the power is back where it used to be with the stock greddy... just took 3 more pounds of boost to get there.

Looking forward to the updates. I've got a couple things to install this weekend... oil filter relocation kit, ms front strut bar, and a grounding kit.

almost certainly you have an issue there - it wont be the turbo ....

You say it is the turbo - I'm saying it isn't . That should help you in that you can now look for what the real issue is .......

Its looking like these problems are not present on ADM/JDM cars which they have been on. Andy is working on some what sound like simple fixes to remedy these..

I am using this in my S/C 4 port A/T RX8 atm

Ill post my unbias review

My car was tuned by Andy from Adaptronics himself (creator)

Andy is a terrific person, awesome support, very friendly and knowledgeable and more then happy to provide after sale customer service.

In terms of power wise, had abit of issue using the Protuner as it was leaning out at top, no problems with adaptronics.

Andy can rewire the unit to support 4 port.

Power runs are very smooth.

Very easy to adjust tune on the run, just need a USB & Laptop.

It is somehow covering my CEL. (see it light up for a second then its gone)

Closed loop is tied to rear 02 sensor, mine isnt working so having really rich spikes on decel, but idle/cruise are steady 14.7 AFR.

Slight finesse required for cold startup and temperature control. However it has temperature adjustment tables that are easily accessed for both low and high load (you can pick the MAP value where it changes over)

Full dynamic picture showing where your fuel adjustments are coming from. (e.g Coolant Temp X - (+ - Trim)

Some negatives

Slight hesitation on throttle due to delay in MAP, can be tuned to be very minimal, only feel it when taking off and very slightly touching pedal.

No control over IDLE/Fans etc, im using Protuner to control my Idle and Fans. Idle is very smooth at 1,000rpm, mixture right on 14.7, it doesnt seem to clash with each other.

Logs doesnt capture as much data as Protuner

All in all, very happy with the product, instant changes, no fear of wiping another ECU

I have verified that it is not passing the readiness tests. Will need to plug in my AP and hope its CEL suppression does the trick.

A couple more updates ... ownership AND possession are great things!

I've disabled the Select's automatic CEL reset option and am in the process of inventorying CELs and monitoring the readiness tests. I'm certain I'll get this stuff to pass without too much hassle.

Elliot I'm interested in implementing an external wide band input and was looking at the Innovate MTX-L. MTX-L Wideband O2 Digital Air/fuel Ratio Gauge

Do you have any experience with this specific all-in-one solution? What would the WARI Analog Calibration and Secondary Serial Input settings be for it if it is compatible?

Have you looked into the PLX Wideband multigauge? Their support is great and it has different options for logging. It also allows you to read up to 16 other PLX modules. I have it and love it so far.

That is definitely a fine looking gauge. With its sensor module supporting Wideband Linear 0-5V output with (what looks like) a 3.5mm stereo plug all I'd need is a 3.5mm to 2.5mm cable to wire it up.

It looks like Adaptronic has teamed up with Innovate on a couple different fronts so I'll likely stay there. The warm fuzzy factor between selecting "Innovate XXX" and "Generic 0-5V" in their tuning software will likely win me over.

I've heard great things about both manufacturers.... although I still find it funny that the whole lot of them use the same Bosch LSU4.2 sensor.

Here's the other Innovate Wideband gauge I'm looking at. I'm actually leaning more towards this one as it is a closer match to my remaining Cobalt gauges.

Totally loving this ECU... smoothed out a rough spot with Dave today and learned how to do my own tweaking moving foward... that was my last hurdle (mastering the ECU).

Am too chicken **** to try and flash new AP maps while the Adaptronic is connected. Until someone with bigger ***** tries it I'll simply continue to disconnect / reconnect in the meantime.

Running the base Cobb Race map with increased OMP + suppression of rich / o2 codes. All readiness tests are passing.

Exchanged a couple emails with Andy. He's very confident that there should be no interference flashing wise as the Adaptronic does nothing on the OBD2 bus. In fact with the mode that I have it in now it won't even connect to attempt to reset codes.

I have a couple more CELs to suppress (got an EVAP code last night) and will suck it up and flash via AP with the Adaptronic in-line.
