9" go with 245/40. I assume street driving.
What was said about the 9.5" is correct. 245/40 is a bit more stretch than I'd like. I don't know about you. I ran that setup for a while though

Will I need to roll the fenders on stock height?
I spoke with someone on the phone and he said it's not common with the 8 to run a 9.5, mostly 9?
The wheels I'm looking at right now are Kiwami's in 18x9.5, same size all around. I know there's the newer deep concave wheels with an 18x10 but I'm guessing that's too wide of a wheel?
Also, would a +30 be too aggressive or just stick to +38?

Stock height sucks. 9.5 isn't uncommon at all. It isn't too wide. +30 is great if you are lowered. The lower the car, the lower offset you can run and it not look stupid. If you are going to stay stock height then +38 is even a little too low of an offset IMO.

Very possible. I won't deny that some huge wheels look sweet on the rear of the RX-8, I just wonder why you wouldn't put those big wheels and tires up front as well.
But you are right......staggered isn't a really a issue unless you want to maintain the handling for track.
An alternative to a staggered setup is to run some spacers on the rear. Then you have the look, but still keep a square setup for handling and rotations.

Im currently running 9j lm reps et 39 all round (3mm spacers) the next step up would be 25mm spacers to clear the factory studs. will i rub with stock fenders and stock profile tyre (225/45/18)? the overall offset will be et17 :o.
ive noticed the tabs are pretty large in rear arches does this make it difficult to roll them?

I'm pretty new to this whole after market wheel thing but have been doing heaps of reading through the forum but haven't been able to find an answer to my question.
Looking at getting a set of Enkei RP-03 18x8.5 +35 or 18x8.5 +30.
Tyre wise I'm looking at the Bridgestone S001 in 235/40/18
Car is lowered on Koni Yellows and Eibach Pro springs. Eibach springs drop ~1.5" and the Koni's seem to drop it a little more.
Will these fit without needing to roll the guards?

The 9.5" do look good, but the car is mainly a DD so didn't see the need to go that wide.
I was more concerned about the +30 fitting as the +35 for these are getting harder to find down here in Australia.
I'll check out prices on the 245's tomorrow.

One moment and I'll show my old pictures. 245s on a 9.5 or 9.75 is more stretch than I'd like. I'd say go with 265/35 on the 9.5s to be honest. That's what I have now.

geometry/alignment 20mm Spacers
Just looking for a bit of advice really, does anyone know if an adjustment to the geometry needs to be made with 20mm spacers on S1 or S2, and considering whether it has been lowered or not?? Any help here would be appreciated.
