Gas/Oil Premix Thread

CAUTION
Do not use either synthetic or semisynthetic
motor oil. Otherwise engine
starting performance could worsen.
They say to not use it or "Starting Performance" "could" worsen.
It's funny that the dealer put semi synthetic in my car when I got my new engine.............

If that onyx guy would stop spamming every thread that has to do with premix or synthetic oil, maybe these threads would die.
Better yet, give onyx the banstick for the spam and close all these threads.

not really, I just wanna know why.
Why does a major manufacturer, was part of Ford, with all the resources of R&D at their disposal, who have been "developing" this engine for the past 40 years or so, carried out wear tests, who have had to replace busted engines under warranty without explanations, who make their own synthetic oil but won't let it out of the country, who get lots of advice from amateur experts about prmixes, 2 stroke oils, other synthetic oils (that run like stage 4 cancers), on this and other forums...just WHY?....kinda frustrating do't ya think??

^ The problem with your argument your response comes up every 3 months. Once you have exhausted yourself and everyone here on your infinite wisdom you obtained on the manual recommendations in another 3 months a new poster will come in spewing the same facts as you from the manual. Guys here get tired of it when a search will reveal this has been debated few times (feels like 1000x) with same end result.
I just don't get you guys that read the manual and make statements like you have on this forum and think you have some cutting edge insight no one else thought of. Now I see why guys here get sharper and snapper with their search remarks. Because we do get tired of the your BS responses for the manual facts of "why would Mazda in all their glory, knowledge and wisdom right such profound material when they are the creator of this glorious masterpiece.".

yeah ok, you are right. Clearly 6 years of forumers research has produced the answer to Mazda rotary engine ills.....? Since car ownership is 5% making journeys and 95% bragging, I hardly think that this is the place for cutting edge Rotary engine research, so no need to make wise *** comments. Sorry if you feel burdened at having to repeat yourself every three months but some new forum members don't have the benefit of your extensive research and knowledge which seems to have led to precisely the same answers...if I can summarize, Mazda's rotary engine is crap, Mazda is a crap company, Mazda dealers are crap, etc..etc...and premix rules forever!! Have I missed anything out??

that's putting a spin on it!!. How many Rotary owners are you talking about...a % guess would do as I know you don't have the figures.
Owners have proven time and time again, that following Mazda's recommendations DO NOT guarantee any increase in the engines life span. How did they do this you ask? By following the recommendations and being rewarded with a low compression engine. Some people do everything by the book and perform all maintenance early and have the engine **** the bed after 40K miles. While others do the complete opposite and have it last 80K. Then you have the "educated" owners premixing, using heavier oils(conventional and/or synthetic) yada yada yada who still have engine failures. I had a point to this but I forget.........

I am not sure what you are trying to accomplish here. In the end everyone makes their own decision. It seems as you already have. Time to move on and let this discussion die.

Just ask 9KRPM who is on his third engine. He listened to Mazda twice and failed twice. Now he is trying his own thing. I listened to mazda and got a new engine at 48k miles. I did everything that the owners manual said to do including early maintenance. Mazda claims Ford was holding them back from creating the rotary engine they wanted to create since Ford DID own most of Mazda. If Ford made any decisions about the rotary, it would be detrimental as Ford knows nothing about them.
All I can say is experience is the key here. Many users on this forum have done what the manual has said to do and got rewarded with a new engine around 50K. Just because you got lucky ONCE and got 186K miles on an engine does not mean the manual is correct. You sir are one in a million.

There is no magic fix and people will believe what they want to believe. You just have to read up and try and fully understand how our motor works and make decisions based on that.

Interesting...for some reason I was under the impression it was software that could be used for forums over the web. I guess it's only specific related to this forum?
And I can't seem to find any links from the homepage leading to ISpy other than the one you posted alnielsen.

If it's an add on to the software that this site uses, then isn't there a direct link on the homepage like you posted to go use it? Or is it software add on that has to be on your pc to use directly? If it were the latter then you wouldn't of been able to provide me a link I would of thought....
