My last dyno showed that I develop 260 hp at the wheels. I have boost available from a standing start. Is that what you wanted to know?

First my stock tranny is doing just fine and seems to be holding up very well but then again I treat it with respect and change the fluid regularly with the fluids as recommended by BHR.

I don't even remember stock too much at this point but depeinding on the down shift I ether break the tires loose (churp them if traction control is on) downshifting into first or second or feel a signifigant surge when in the higher gears. Mine is a four port, there may be differences with the 6port AT.
If your looking for Viper type power during the down shift then forget it as you will only have 300hp at the most with a Pettit s/c kit with your A/T.

I use an AP with tunes by MM. That is all I can comment upon. I am extremely happy with his tunes and the AP. Cam has some kinda flash system that I am not familiar with. I assume with his you must send your ECU to him for updates.

I'm not sure what the difference was since its been over a year but when I put it up to another blower at the shop it was significant. I'm sure it can even be flowed a little better.

OK, was not sure how updates are received for the Pettit flash. Does the EFidude device hold your flashes? How many will it hold? I get asked a lot and would like to be more informed. I went back on a search and got a lot of conflicting information.

nice.
Do you think it may affect the idle?
How much flow/boost are you aiming for?

What are your thoughts on a true phenalitic (spelling) lim gasket?
LOTS of heat soak here due to the large mate surface to the engine.
I dont know if it would have any real affect due to the speed of the air coming in?
Also fuel heat soak in the injector rail?
We need an insulation kit for the fuel line and rail?

Phil, I dont think it can hold multiple flash's. It can log 2 hrs of run time and it is actually a pretty good data logger for the track. Its easy to show what you were doing on what section of the track. Speed, rpms, temps, load, tps etc.
I use it frequently.
Oh and you can use it as a logger on other peoples rx8. I recently helped a fellow tracker reduce his track time with the data it collected. He didnt believe he was doing some things I pointed out until he saw the numbers on the screen.

I'm not sure on increased boost but id say more efficiency and less strain on the blower while its doing the work which means less pasitic loss. Who knows it my also increase boost but with my redesign of the IC it being a smaller volume its not comparable when I see what numbers I get. Unless its like an extra 3 or 4 PSI but I doubt that. I doubt that it will effect idle.

I wrapped my engine bay fuel line a while ago using DEI Cool Tape but not the fuel rail. I'll put that on my do list.

Heading to Pettit Racing tomorrow afternoon to visit Cam and get ready for my first NASA event on Sunday at PBIR.

"THIS WEEKEND MORE EXTREME TESTING at PBIR....Come on out and watch as Pettit's RX7 is put to the test. Under the most brutal unforgiving conditions and extreme temperatures, the Pettit RX7 is subjected to severe punishment lap after lap, this may sound cruel and ruthless but it's the ultimate test of performance and longevity, proof positive our parts are robust and enduring, ready to provide our customers results beyond expectation."

Ok-- I see what you mean Moon.
Breath better--can spin slower. With the parasidic drag being what it is--damn good thought. It would also cool the post blower temps a little? Increasing flow and not the pressure reminds me of old school stuff.

Paul--yep we have a non return system and I understand what you are saying. But, our fuel line crosses the engine and then the fuel rails sit right on top. The fuel is not flowing through these things that fast. Measured temps of the fuel rails are right at 180F.
Little things can add up.
Juan --I think it may require more than some heat reflection stuff? We need some plastic spacers between ALL the rails and the engine. Need to be careful not to mess with the angle or the fitting distance to the injectors? After that i was thinking of some insulating (like sparkplug wire protectors) for them. The fuel from the tank is pretty cool--just need to keep it that way?
Worth a little work?
Wish I had the time---Road Atlanta next w/e, so I have to get a NEW set of hoosiers mounted, brakes done, check suspension torques, clean w/m injectors, install new by pass valve, change oil, drain a little sc oil (and change it), bleed brakes and clutch, set suspension, finish new camera mount, change sparkplugs, and a few other things!

Juan--just read your second post. Have a ball dude! Say hey to cam for me. We will be at Road aAtlanta Next w/e
Dont forget to lower the level of your sc oil before track---too much windage with the level at the full mark. You want it inbetween full and add--about 1/8 " below full.
Rotor on and keep it tween the run offs!

yep, lack of flow is the reason i'm curious. i dont have a freaking clue just wondering out loud. i have nothing at all again the idea. just wondering how much difference in effectiveness there would be between doing this to a return system that already flows better and soaks less vs our system where it soaks regardless
