Sorry Ray I did not know you felt a little neglected. Here is a big (non ghey) one from me.

Was there a memo?

Well people I only got up to 11.3 psi boost cuz I ran out of road and very hard to film and drive going that fast. The pull was done on fourth gear and sorry for the poor quality.

The first log shows when it hit 12 psi on 5th gear and the second shows 11.3 psi on 4th gear.

I am currently experimenting with the COBB AP/Racetuner software trying to get the MAF values nailed down. This will be of the utmost import in regards to tuning for the different sized ratios.

If I lived close to Cam, I would take him my car so he and Dian could make a decent tune with the EFI Dude. Alas, I don't, so i'll be doing this myself.

I spoke with Juan, he has 0 long term fuel trims.
Juan was working with Cam via emailing EFI log files.

I did as well several months ago. I have my own reasons for wanting to use the AP.

Dont know?
yesterday Eric Meyer spent 2 hrs with us at his Road Atlanta set up (wicked flat black paint cars!) and we talked about brakes, suspension setup, engine air flow, cooling, fuel supply systems--especially fuel pressure issues, running without the mop, advantages and disadvantages of non return versus return fuel systems, lower intake variables, and the vdi--among other things! He even gave us hats with the club name sewn it the side of it--divers talked with all of us, watched them working on the cars etc etc-- Eric is one class act--his entire team also was nothing but the best. Many thanks to you Sir, many thanks for taking time with the locals like you did. Most impressive.
Eric was interested in the amount of air we are moving and confirmed our thoughts/practices concerning the vdi. They do much more with the intake than we do--they want flow rates on the intake i have done.
After that the Roar racing team let us park beside them and as always Roar made us feel like family--we talked more about the cars and started to get into even more detail. Roar is like a brother too us and dont think we dont appreciate it.

Got a lot of confirmation about the direction of which I am heading in addressing fuel pressure/starvation issues. One word of caution---if you have a fuel cut issue--the engine does not like it--right? Well you can have a slight reduction in fuel pressure and not know it and lose about 40hp! We need to watch fp issues a little closer than we do.
Be careful with the blues(injectors) the spray pattern is much coarser(we know)--just be aware when you are tuning.
our man Nabil missed the TTD championship by 1 sec against a race prepared BMW with stripped interior, full roll cage, full race harness and so forth. Get the picture?. He turned a tad bit over a 1:44--which aint bad at all, His 8 is basically stock, tomico shocks , rb bars, act flywheel and REVI intake and i think that is it!
he is running 17" tires with new r compounds for this event. His car has at least 8-9K track miles on it and I think over 70K---original engine--replaced trans x 1.
We are proud on him--did good.
Lots of stuff.

You need to display older threads (last year rather than last 100 days).

The "blues" have a spray pattern that is slightly more coarse than the "yellow" injectors.
It has little to no effect on AFR.

exactly--just a factor to keep in mind. Less atomization of the fuel can affect flame front etc. Probably will never be an issue for us but you never know..
Fuel pressures will become more and more important as we continue.
Eric was asking about flow results we have seen in regard to the vdi(i believe most of us disable that) as they too disable it. I dont want to devulge any of their propiertary secrets on the lower intake, but I will say that it is a stock intake, they just do differant things with it. Most of which would not suit us street guys. OK?
He was interested in my finding that the vdi even when closed is NOT sealed totally. He says that he has seen some which appear to be and some which definitly are not. It is much more easily recognized when boost is applied. I have a lower intake i have been messing around with in which I have toally sealed the vdi and ported/smoothed the upper ports of the lower intake(there are multiple ridges etc that can be removed etc) and I used the old funnel concept in continuing throughout the channels--also did a little bit of stuff on the sausages.
He would like to see it flow tested.
I can reveal that they run without an mop and use 1 1/2 oz's per gal of premix. And they pay strict attention to fuel filters.
It was an excellant day.
