Help with fuel line disconnect
Hey guys, just trying to install the Mazsport Ignition solution and I am having a hard time disconnecting the fuel line with the blue quick disconnect. It says gently spread apart the connector twist slightly and pull up. How hard to you have to pull up? Can't get it off. any help would be much appreciated... Thanks.

Make sure the clips are unhooked before you yank. Take a flathead screwdriver and slip it in the clips and turn gently, They'll unclip. You're switching them around because it frees up about an extra 1.5 inches for the new ignition bracket.

Push down on the fuel line first then spread the clip twist and pull up
... only funny part is, I still got this thing installed. Double checked everything and it "seemed" to be hooked up properly (some of the instructions along with the pictures kind of had me scratching my head for a second). Had an issue with my so called permanent marker too. It kept wiping off the plug wires.
Driving impressions:
I started the car and it sounded fine. No engine light, but mine should come back on in a little while because my hi-flow is starting to fail. Took it around the block and what not, and MAN MY CAR IS ALIVE AGAIN!!!!!
But dyno, mental dyno, etc. aside; I know my car has regained it's power. I had 98600 miles on the stock coils. The dealership didn't believe me when I told them my car had lost a lot of power and I thought is was the coils. They said it felt fine and just reflashed my ECU and told me it will cost me $1200 for more engine mounts and $150 to get a new sun visor.
Over all, I'm impressed. I just hope I got it installed right.
Mazsport engine mounts are next. They are sitting in my house ready to go now.

Help with plug wires
OK. I have done everything except for hook up the plug wires. I am very confused. Does the longest wire plug into the coil closest to the front of the car? What plug does that then plug into? Why is nothing labeled on the diagram? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

From front to back, the coils are FL,FT,RL,RT.
The plugs are 'Leading' on the bottom and 'Trailing' on top (think 'T' for top and 'L' for lower.....)
If the wire won't reach, use a longer one.
(I should be in the 'manual writing' business - I think I have a gift for it.)

I got the Mazsport Ignition Solution installed andI am very happy. I don't have any hard evidence on performance increase, but my vehicle feels much more responsive. The quality of everything seemed to be pretty good too. My only complaint is that the instructions seemed to be a little vague at times especially regarding what coil plugs into what plug. One more thing I would say is that installing it in an hour is very optimistic (as per the instructions). I would give yourself a few hours to do things right. I think that this is definitely worth it.

my brother dropped one of the acorn nuts when he was helping me instal it and i couldnt find it. so i finally called it a nite and pulled the undertray off the next day lol.
it would have taken me 2 hours if not for that set back lol

Have these coils and will be fitting turbo shortly . Have heard they need dwell adjusted to be effective for turbo but I can't do that on my ems .
So am I better to go back to stock coils or will the Mazsport coils be OK up to a certain PSI boost level ?

It seems Scott originally set the interceptor x dwell times to 2.0ms for ALL applications.
Stock dwell , if my theory on the tables is correct is a lot higher than that and that would explain why many people did not have problems with the Mazsport coils who did not have the interceptor x .
This is just speculation from third party hearsay and the interpretation of the stock dwell tables that Hymee & I came up with . BUT , it would explain a lot of the issues people had with these coils earlier on .

Um, has anyone noticed the "red" Mazsport plug that connects to the oem coil connector goes straight to positive battery?
I looked at my wires today and that is really disturbing.
Couldn't that harm the stock ECU?
