It sounds like Stick and Sig are on the same network (I.E. office) but different people. If Stick's IP changes that means he log's on from home and from work. If Sig's IP does not it sounds like he is logging on from the office only...as the building/company will be typically using a single IP to connect to the internet.

Honestly though it may be tough to prove as IP's are typically either dynamically assigned or manually assigned (If manually assigned...Then it's either Stick or someone on his machine) and can not prove that a specific workstation is involved. Now if you are able to retrieve the users MAC address then you have something. That address belongs to the physical computer and is not assigned in any way.

Some of you may know better than I though...Just a thought.

P.S. Also, keep in mind that your IP address could be the addressed for your ISP's network. There simply aren't enough IP's to pinpoint a specific user on the internet. Software does exist though that can trace where (city, state, address, etc) on the ISP's network the signal is coming from.

 

The signs do point to two different people. I don't have a problem that I know of with stick and the types of posts that he and sig do in relation to each other have been very different.

and i don't know about you, but i don't keep track on all screen names my friends use from their computers at work and at home.

as excited about the project and undergoing that stick has done with his car as i thought everyone would be, im sadly dissappointed to see everyone against him. Correction - We're excited for the work Mazsport is doing.

Stick has had a half dozen of his posts contradicting each other, and hasn't cleared up anything. There's insults towards Mazsport coming from his IP address from vague accounts that originate from his office. The accounts use similar wording as he ("jaja"), which can't be a common Asian term widely used in America. Hell, I'm half Asian and I've never heard of it before. He's just "verified" that the account was registered with an email address that belongs to a female friend. This female posts about organizing car meets, bmws, painting techniques, horse power wars, max capabilities of the renesis, and knows all the local tuner shops in FL. Now, there are quite a few females on this forum, I dare say that none post anything remotely close to this person:

This person also just happens to post about how great the Esmeril turbo kit is, and how the int-x is "an overpriced microtech unit". Stick claims the female friend is just unhappy for him, but "she" has consistently posted negative things towards Mazsport in random threads during the time the account has been active - within the last three weeks.

A new user magically appears immediately after his upset post, and within 20 minutes posts smack talk about Mazsport and voices support of his competition. Stick never posted at the same time sigtech does, but their posts come in sequentially one following the other. If you think it's coincidence, then I've got some beach front property to sell you in Kansas.


So I respectfully disagree with RotaryGod on his conclusion. This smacks of an alternate by the same person. The first thing one would do when crafting an alternate account, is to generate random comments so as to appear to not be an alternate, and try to give that account a different personality. The first 10 posts were filler. Used to create a background of plausible deniability. Only Stick didn't have the foresight to create an alt account in advance. He must have been fairly upset to rush forward without thinking how easy it would be to spot what he was doing. After the posts I mentioned, the only activity on sigtech's account was posting smack talk in a renesis 500 hp thread (after all, he's just paid a lot of money to be better than the renesis), and then this thread.


I have NO doubts whatsoever that both accounts are used by the same person.

I don't have a problem with Stick being upset, but he's playing dirty and trying to look like a saint while shitting on Mazsport.

It would actually be extremely easy to validate Stick's claim. If he can supply one of us with this female's phone number, it would only take a few questions to validate if she was the one posting. Sigtech's posts include commentary on nitrous use on the renesis, max possible power on the renesis, considers installing the mazdaspeed body kit trivial, and knows about bulb ballasts. It'd be hard for her to fake answers in real time on the phone.
