I guess all thats left its wait ( couple of years... just kidding) until Stick is done and make a 5 car showdown. Acosta ( dont think so) RGonza, Stick, Manuel, and My self....... All five cars, every event , one track... I'm on............... but My favorite most definetly is RGonza's.
I bet there should be some good numbers out of all of them.

I realize that the hot air from the radiator is moving past the turbo and everyone is considering placing heat shields etc around the turbo. But why not reroute the problem? Why not tunnel the heat coming from the radiator out of the engine bay through a vented hood A LA LOTUS ELISE???????? Would this not help lower air temps over all? Maybe even do the same with the oil coolers. You could use two seperate tunnels for the coolers that combine with the main tunnel coming from the radiator that heads up to the hood and out.

Maybe you can create some sort of ducting that could channel cool air to the turbo while your at it?

Just a thought...BTW...AWSOME SETUP!!!
Good idea but it looks like there's maybe 5 inches of clearance between the fans and the turbo.. That's not a whole lot of room for any ducting...

Maybe not but it does look like it's just enough if done right. I think it will work.

personally, i just want it back in 15 days as scott had promised.

stuff like ducting is something i can take care of later once scott catches up with his turbo kit production or hires more techs. for now, my priority is getting it back running reliably at relatively low power output as scott had promised over a year ago.

at this point, i really don't care for bells and whistles. i mean 20b is enough already.

besides it's been about 14 months now maybe 15. it's quite simple really. i just want to get her back. i bought the freaking car to drive it not to f'ing park it somewhere and ask photos of it whenever they get some free time.

besides i ask for updates every friday. and i've updated ALL the updates i've received for past 14-15months on this thread. if you can count, there're probalby 10 total. you can see why i'm getting bit antsy.

I do indeed!

I might almost be as excited to see this thing as you are...I couldn't tell you how much I love the smell of gasoline. Anyways, keep the faith...When you finally get it all the bad will fade and the beast will remain.

I understand your frustrations, Stick. I am frankly shocked Mazsport (which has such an excellent customer service rep on this forum) would act like that. But over a year and no updates, what gives??

check back in 14 days. the car will be done. scott's words.

and yes, he knows what he's doing with the 20b, and dyno will prove that.

in 14 days, i'll update with photos and vid's myself. ticket's booked and i've already reserved my annual leaves to clear that week just to drive around my car.

14 days, no less. in the meanwhile, let's let this rest.

did i mention 14 days?

14 days.

car pick-up date: 12-21-2007

ps. that means the engine should be starting hopefully by next week. or the earlier part of the week after at the latest.

sigtech, f'off.
